There is a lot of different experiences to be had at this hostel. But be prepared to meet a new standard of living that you might now be used to. Keep your expectations low and you will have a great time, but you will learn a lot through living there. I met some great friends there that I will remember for the rest of my life.

I had a good time at Keiraleigh and met some amazing friends! Kerrie and Nathan were really sweet and you could always talk to them if you needed help with something. However, it wasn't communicated to us that we would be sleeping in a tent in the backyard outside of the main hostel area. The tents were okay after all but I would've liked to know beforehand and not after arriving from a long flight and expecting a bed in a dorm. The work was pretty easy and only took about 2 hours in the morning, so you have plenty of time to explore the area after your shift.

The people were all so lovely here they had just got too many people there so there wasn't enough accommodation. Also the task I signed up for was painting and the work was the hostelkeeping, again these things would've been fine if I'd known before hand but the communication was a little off. Also the town is very quiet not loads to do but lots of nice cafes and a big shopping mall. Again tho the people were so lovely and I wish them all the best :)

We really enjoyed our time in Wollongong! the hostel is a small hostel with a very family/community vibe, we really enjoyed feeling like we knew and were supported by a lot of people at the hostel as well as Nathan and Kerrie! Very chill boho vibe, the hours were very relaxed and leave you with a lot of time to explore the beach and elsewhere!

I had a great experience here in Wollongong and Kerrie and the family made me feel very welcome. The rest of the team took me in and showed me the ropes. The hostel is always very busy with a mix of local and international travellers, which is good to meet and learn more about different ways of life and outlook's. Shops, bars and most importantly the ( 2 ) beaches is just a few minutes walk from the hostel. Many more beautiful beaches is just a short bus/ train ride away. Also lot's of hiking by the coast or in the mountains not far away. Also assessable by train/ bus and cheap. Many thanks!

I think you can hardly have a better start in Australia. Wollongong is the 5th largest city in Australia and only 2 hours by train from Sydney. The hostel is in a great location, 5 minutes walk to the mall with lots of shopping and 5 minutes in the other direction to the beach. The hostel itself is very welcoming, nice people are there and the hosts are super nice, spontaneous, flexible and warm. I can recommend everyone to go here.

I loved it at Keiraleigh the hostel! This was my first experience with worldpackers and I am very happy I chose this place. I felt welcome from the first day on and got treated like a part of the family. Also I met lots of new friends from all over the world. I'd love to go back! Until then I wish Kerrie and her family all the best! ♥️

Had a lovely time at the hostel. Made plenty of new friends amongst the other Lodgers. I recommend the hostel to people starting their journey. I will definitely be visiting again.

I absolutely loved my time here. I stayed about a month and it was the first place I ever did a work exchange for room and board and it was by far a great place for a first time experience! They are the sweetest people ever, and I met so many amazing travelers while living there. Definitely going to be visiting again soon!

I was a very nice experience at the hostel. The hosts were chill and open and the work wasnt hard at all. It was really good for connecting with travelers as well as with locals. I had a great time and will go back there again.
