Volunteering at the hostel was a wonderful experience! Jake and the rest of the staff were really amazing, it was a very welcoming and social environment! the hostel is such a lovely town with lots of great hiking, walking trails, ferry trips, and activities nearby. There are lots of nice cafes and shops in town to explore, as well as the beautiful nature around. The work here was also clearly communicated and allowed for lots of free time to explore after our shifts. I'm really grateful for my time here and the wonderful people I met- I would absolutely recommend this volunteering experience!

The hostel is a really nice coastal town with lots of access to the nearby islands so there's always something to do or somewhere to go on your afternoons/day off. The hostel and everyone was very welcoming and social, and the tasks were really clear for each shift which I really appreciated. Would definitely go back :)

The hostel was a great experience from the arrival. The team collaborated to share the workload and accomplish daily tasks. Plenty to see nearby from castles 🏰 to live music and highland dance nearby.

Had a great time here and met some awesome people. Jake (the manager) was also great. He was respectful and appreciative of our work and time which I think is very important. Hostel was cosy. Only issue was terrible wifi so keep that in mind if you need it for work. Overall had the best time and would definitely recommend staying here!

The hostel was my first ever volunteering experience and I couldn't have asked for a better one!! The team and Jake as the manager made me feel home from the very beginning on! The whole working environment is very relaxed. You can do double shifts, which allows you to have several days off per week. Thats something I really appreciated, because it gave me the opportunity to explore the hostel and the surrounding area. I would recommend this hostel to everyone who likes to spend time in nature while also immersing in the local culture. I loved it so much!!!

There is usually not much going on, so if that and the beautiful nature (beach, islands, mountains, etc) is your thing, you'll love the hostel! I didn't really know what to expect from the hostel before going there, but after two weeks I was sad to leave this adorable little town. The work was straight forward and I liked that we got to make our own work schedule and decide on our days off. Jake and the other volunteers were super welcoming and made sure to answer all my questions :) Thanks Jake for the good time, I felt like I could learn a lot and always enjoyed the tunes on the hostel jukebox, tah!

I had a very good experience in the hostel! I was very lucky with the people I met there. They were so kind and always willing to help you. Jake, the manager, was very welcoming and the place has a magic atmosphere where you feel home. The town is quite small but you will find lots of plans to do, since you can take a ferry and explore some of the highlands, go for a walk and hiking, enjoy the beach or visit castles. I'd definitely recommend volunteering in this nice hostel :)

I had a really good time volunteering at the hostel. The hostel is really nice and felt very cosy. Everyone in the team is very welcoming and friendly and I really enjoyed spending my time with them. The working hours are fine and you still get a lot of free time. The hostel is in a great location and the surroundings are beautiful. In the hostel you can go to one of the many cafes or pubs, go for a hike or take the ferry to one of the islands. I would definitely recommend this volunteering opportunity!

My experience has been great, I met incredible people and had a nice time here. The tasks are easy to learn, the work is not too much, so you'll have plenty of time to explore the town and surrounding islands such as Kerrera, Mull, Staffa, etc, or on rainy days go to a coffee shop and read or just chill out. I recommend it to travelers who enjoy nature and small cities.

Incredible experience! The manager Jake makes sure that everything runs smoothly and he is very personable. I had a great time going out with the other volunteers to cafes and bars. There are potluck dinners occasionally with all the volunteers and staff. A backyard garden for staff use. The lounge is very large with much seating, a fire place, and a pool table (free to play for volunteers). The kitchen is fully equipped with whatever you need. The staff room is 3 bunk beds. I recommend the hostel and the hostel if you like a walkable sized tourist town and enjoy cafes and nature.
