Experience the Japanese lifestyle in Tokyo!

I volunteered at the Language Café for a month, and I highly recommend the experience to anyone looking to connect with locals and make great friends among the volunteer group. I truly enjoyed my time there – exchanging ideas, learning more about Japanese culture, traditions, and perspectives. I also received amazing tips on places to visit and foods to try, which made my trip even more special. I'm especially grateful to Yuta, who was incredibly kind and even helped me find restaurants and arrange transportation to other cities. It was a very warm and memorable experience!

Coming to the coliving was the best choice in my travel. I didn't expect to meet so many people, and talk to so many locals. It's the best experience if you want to immerse yourself in japanese culture and make friends from all around the world. The work is easy and trully fun, I already miss the coliving :'(((

The coliving is by no doubt the best volunteering position available in Tokyo, I learnt so much just by talking with locals everyday and I made some unforgettable friends on the way

I spent two months here and it's been one of the best experiences of my life! the coliving is a brilliant place full of other volunteers from all over the world, and local regulars! The permanent staff at the coliving are also so lovely, always kind and helpful and willing to hang out or give local advice. The work is easy and often really fun and interesting. Making conversation for 4 or 5 hours can be a little tiring so not ideal for introverts but a great way to learn more about the real Japan. Accommodation is basic but if you keep it clean it's perfectly nice; warm, necessary appliances, etc

The best first experience I could have had. The work is relaxed and the people are friendly, there are many travelers to make plans with and enjoy the city and Yuta is always there for whatever you need! It has definitely been one of the best adventures I've ever done, I can't wait to go back one day ❤️‍🩹

If you are a traveler looking for community, this is the place for you! I absolutely LOVED my stay at the coliving's and highly recommend this experience. There are about 20 other volunteers at once, so you become close with your housemates as well as the locals at the coliving. In addition, you are situated close to Shinjuku and the train station, which can take you anywhere in the city pretty quickly. The shifts at the coliving are typically four hours per day, which can feel long and forced at times, but you genuinely meet and learn from some cool locals and have lots of deep chats.

This was an amazing experience! It is a great way to interact with locals and learn more about Japanese culture. The hours are somewhat challenging as your shifts are often four hours, which can get a bit tiring but in the end is very rewarding! The accommodation isn't great but not bad either. It is in Shinjuku which is only a couple train stops away from Shibuya, Harajuku, and other popular spots. Overall I would definitely recommend as not only is it a great cultural immersion experience, but also a great way to meet and bond with other volunteers from all around the world!
