The hostel is a great place where you find international travelers and bike-packers, the place is nice and Class and the other volunteers are cool group. Sometimes you make your food and other times Class is the chef with his great seasoning, the activities are easy and lights to do, We had the opportunity to make the schedule, and we had days off to do the trip in the south of the hostel. So I recommend the place if you have plans to do the all the route in the Balkans. Thank you so much Class, see you around.

While I'm grateful for the opportunity to volunteer at the hostel, my experience wasn't quite what I hoped. The work was manageable, but on multiple occasions I was scheduled more than the agreed amount. After reminding Claas what we agreed on, he did fix the schedule. I was also a bit disappointed that my bed was a foam mattress on the floor while the other volunteers had actual beds. We also didn't receive two meals per day when Claas didn't cook. The other volunteers were kind and we had some nice day trips together. Overall, it was a decent experience, but wasn't quite what I expected.

The hostel has no staff, just the owner with the volunteers working for free, 7 hours a days, 4 days a week (more than showed here) doing all the work at the same time: reception, clean floors, bathrooms, breakfast, laundry, hard work and responsibility. At the end of the day you're just tired and without energy to enjoy the city or the guests. For me that's exploitation, not a volunteer experience. I don't even wanna put here the other bad things that happened in my experience, ask me if you want. Tirana was a beautiful and cheap city, you don't need to submit yourself on it to go.

Working with Haide was the worst experience we had since working with volunteers. First we have 2 employees and mostly 3 to 4 volunteers on top. Working hours, as agreed with the team, are 26hours...4 days a week and 3 days off. So far, everyone is happy...
If you like to work with someone, who dosent like to work in exchange for food and a bed, Haide is the perfect match. If you don't care if the one supposed to make the breakfast for your guests is still sleeping, Haide is the perfect match...if you like answers, to multiple time questions like "why didn't you do this" ,or "where have you been", that goes like, "you know I am a social media influencer and I am working on 3 different platforms, and I was really tired so I felt to sleep"..."yeah, I could, but I really don't like to do this work", perfect match again. Working with a Diva like Haide perfectly enojed every other member of the staff, so the thing that he just left, or better run away, was actually very good.
We appreciate to work with volunteers because I did that too when I was younger. It is a perfect way for young folks to travel, exchange ideas and knowledge, to experience a country differently then as a tourist.
But some people are misusing platforms like this here to try to make a cheap holiday and don't really care about the commitment you made when you apply.
And when you, as a host, have to ask s person to leave because we don't like to get cheated on, then you have to face a funny review like Haides.

Overall was a good experience. Some details were off at the beginning but after communicating everything was solved Claas is a good person and like in any case, communication is the key. I had fun with my coworkers and other travelers. I recomend volunteering at this hostel just remember to work hard and set clear expectations from the beginning

The hostel is a nice place to meet international travelers, to get to know other cultures, make nice and fun friends; and to go party a lot. As it is in the center of Tirana, yo get to see the culture and lifestyle. Also, it's very well located to travel to other places in the hostel. Be aware that if you're expecting a huge pantry to eat during your stay, maybe this is not your place, cause you might have to adapt to everyday rice and pasta meals. However, the host, Claas, every once in a while cooks delicious dinner for the staff. It was a very nice experience! And tasks are not that hard

It was a great experience. Class is a really nice guy and does his best to make you feel good, like you're a guest. I worked longer hours than what was on the platform, but he asked me first if I was ok with the schedule and I said yes. The other volunteers who had been there for a long time helped me a lot (love u Miche). There are no free meals, but if you are the responsible for the guests breakfast, you can buy it for yourself. On the other hand, Class had a great barbecue on my last week. It was a great experience, I highly recommend it.

The thing other travelers need to know is that the work is fairly simple, it's just repetition. The host Claas was friendly and welcoming to the hostel, along with the other volunteers there. Volunteering there was one of the best experiences of my life. I recommend anyone to come here looking for volunteer work.

Claas is an awesome dude, and also the rest of the staff (Juan and Michelle till then), so helpful and patient, all of them. The hostel is very clean (of course, you're one of the people responsible for that), and with a chill atmosphere. I was able to talk to people from everywhere, it was a great experience to have that kind of cultural exchange. The job was pretty simple, basically receiving new guests, knowing some places to go and how to move around (Claas will help u with that), getting the payment, cleaning the hostel & taking care of the laundry. I surely recommend to anyone. 🤙🏼

Working in the hostel was very good! We've done more hours per day than it was described cause they needed more help there, so everything was agreed beforehand. We slept in staff room where there were enough space to keep our stuff and also it was safe to let everything there. The job is basically work in the reception and cleaning and organizing all the hostel. Claas is a nice person as so is Michelle and Lara. They helped us a lot :D
