The experience

Cleaning and dealing with check outs for a few hrs in the morning, a bit of reception in the afternoon and at night some cleaning, common room activities and pub-crawl, we have 3 volunteers so it will be shift work. Only apply if you are friendly, social, fun, wanting to be around travellers and socialize. Must be fluent in English :)

What you offer

32 hours of help per week

Reception: Help with check-ins, check-outs and guest assistance.

Party Promoter: Help organise and promote parties and social activities.

Cleaning: Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.

Housekeeping: Help with changing the bed linens and general housekeeping.

2 days off per week

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Requirements

Fluent English or Fluent English

Between 20 and 35 years old

Only hosts solo volunteers (doesn’t accept couples or partners)

Be from outside Portugal

Program Details

We would like someone who is willing to work in a busy small hostel environment, someone who wants to party but also is committed to working and being reliable and punctual.
Our role involves afternoon shift at reception, doing some check ins and cleaning if needed, then off for the day, next day morning shift ,cleaning the hostel, check outs as bed making, afternoon off, then back again for the evening shift that involves a bit more cleaning, entertaining guest and pub-crawl, then day off.
