Wow what an amazing experience! Honestly can't say enough amazing things about this hostel and the workers there. The hostel is beautiful and very clean, the hours and shifts are respected and given to you well in advance so you can plan your activities around the hostel, and the workers are all super friendly. Lúzia and Tiago at the bar are amazing and treat everyone like friends, they will give/show you places around the city and tips for what to see and where to go. Only bad thing about it is it will ruin other hostels for you because I can't see any other place being better! Thank you!

My time at the hostel's was amazing! Tasks were communicated clearly, the work was consistent, and the grounds are so nice. Luiza is an amazing host who will always take requests into account and make sure the volunteers feel at home. The rest of the staff is very kind as well, but it helps a lot if you speak some spanish. The location is great and I had plenty of time to explore the greater area. The team of volunteers felt like a family by the end of my time, and I've made some lasting friendships here. This was my first volunteer experience and I couldn't have asked for a better one!

I had an amazing time at San the hostel! Work hours were fair and respected. The staff are super nice and welcoming, make sure you know some basic spanish/Portuguese to communicate with them :) Hostel facilities are beautiful and well kept. Make sure to bring lots of warm clothes if you're traveling in February!

Since my first day I felt at home at the hostel. My shifts where based in creating content for their social media and it was a flexible and creative work. I am so grateful for all the people that I met and for all the experience, I absolutely recommend it <3

It was my first Worldpackers experience and I couldn't ask for a better one. Luiza and all the hostel team made me feel at home since the first day. The team was really flexible and allowed me to extend my stay for a little bit more. Besides, I got to meet a lot of people from different countries, I made new friendships that I'm looking forward to staying in touch with. Throughout the breakfast, bartender and housekeeping shifts I developed some new skills in the hospitality world. The shifts are fair and respected as they are mentioned in Worldpackers.

The Hostel offers a fantastic experience. Its the combination of learning new skills like bartending, the friendship with fellow volunteers, and the hostel's beautiful environment made my stay truly memorable. The hostel's central location in the hostel is a huge plus, as it offers easy access to so much activities and attractions during your free time. I would definitely stay here again.

My time at the hostel was really lovely. I met so many amazing people. The staff and the other volunteers made my stay unforgettable and it felt like a second home. The hours are respected and the work is not too hard. The volunteers don't stay in the mainbuilding, but a little, separate house. I was here in winter and it was a bit cold, but we had a heater in the room. I am going to miss the hostel and all the people I met here. Much love and see you 🫶🏻

My stay at the hostel was very good. From the very first day I was warmly welcomed by all the staff and my fellow volunteers. The location is great, the hostel is beautiful, the house provided for the volunteers was newly renovated, the garden is full of beautiful and delicious fruit! The hours are respected and the work shifts are fair. Breakfast, Bar and Housekeeping are the ones that happen the most and, for me, they were all just. It was my first volunteering experience and I loved it, I made some great friends and all the staff members were always very sweet, loving and smily.

Hello! It was a good experience! Schedule is always respected and people are very nice with you. I think hostel is one of the most beautiful place I've ever stayed (big garden, very beautiful, a lot of space). The only downside was the accommodation for volunteer (which was not in the hostel, but in a separate house). It was not so bad, but it was pretty cold (they couldn't give us an extra heater), high humidity and a bit of mold. The idea of having a separate house is very nice, but the house it's not in the best shape and during winter you could feel that. Other than that, all good!! :)

Hey Ana! Thank you for your feedback.
Just pointing out that the house has a perfect heater working on the main room, but during your stay you prefered to stay in a room with no heater even after advised about moving to the other one (that was empty at the time).
We totally took notes, and we moved the volunteers to a different accomodation to fix (and deep clean) the house while you were here.
The feedback helps our team to find the best solutions to maintain a great experience for next volunteers!

I am grateful for the people I met while volunteering at the hostel and for the skills I acquired. Unfortunately, the living situation was quite poor and many of us had health complications due to mold. The staff attempted to remedy the issue only after multiple volunteers insisted, however there was still mold and bugs after the attempted fix.

Dear Eliana,

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are genuinely sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations and that we missed the opportunity to also give it a review about your performance.

Following your colleague's complaint about the issue, we promptly took action the next day by relocating her to another room and initiating immediate renovations in the bathroom (since she was the one sick). Unfortunately, we also observed challenges related to maintaining the cleanliness of the room, which may have exacerbated the situation with bugs and mold.

We always strive for open and constructive communication to resolve any concerns effectively. In this case, a direct dialogue would have allowed us to assist your group more efficiently. We appreciate your feedback and will use it as an opportunity to improve, but also incorage you to comunicate without any side conversations. and gossip in your next experiences.
