This was my first real WP experience and it was truly better than anything I could imagine! I was pretty scared about going to the hostel but every other volunteer and staff member was soo welcoming to me and we truly became inseparable. I miss the hostel so much!

Had an amazing time at the hostel! Always activities to do around the hostel and the hostel, so there was never a boring experience. The living situation wasn't too bad, but can use improvement. Overall, had a great time. The staff was very welcoming and a joy to hang out with.

Similar to others this was my first WP experience and I am infinitely grateful. I cannot imagine how my time could have been spent better and I loved every minute I spent in the hostel! Luiza does a great job of communicating with volunteers and the staff are some of the most welcoming people I know. I would recommend this first to anyone looking to volunteer in a safe, creative space. The location is perfect for a quick walk to the city center but simultaneously getting to experience what it is like to live in an actual neighborhood. I already miss it and can't wait to visit <3

The hostel was my first WP experience and I wouldn't have had it any other way! The hostel is beautiful, well-kept, and has big open spaces to lounge. The hours are well respected, schedules are out in advance to help with planning the week, and there are many opportunities to socialize with guests/meet people! My favorite part has been bonding with staff and fellow volunteers! You become like a little family so definitely make the most of the experience by being as open-minded and outgoing as possible. Shoutout to Luiza, Thiago (bar), Thiago (reception), Adrian, and Olivia!!

The hostel was my first worldpackers experience and I really enjoyed it. The hostel itself is super pretty and all of the staffmembers are very friendly and welcoming. The working hours are fair and they also consider your wishes on the shifts. I have to say that the volunteers bathroom can use some renovation. Also would have loved curtains on our beds to get a little privacy. Nothing but love to my fellow volunteers + Thiago my favorite bratender.

Here we go again! My second time volunteering at the hostel. I knew immediately after the last time that I had to come back. So I did and now once more I can look back on an unforgettable experience. Because it's more than just good shifts and nice people. For me it's been a life-changing experience and being at the hostel has felt almost magical at times. But having seen 26 other volunteers come and/or go during my time here, I know that all of them had their own unique experience. However none of them were the same before and after. So come to the hostel and find out who you'll become next.

I had such an amazing time at the hostel… all the full time staff were kind and welcoming. Luzia was just simply spectacular and she picked the most amazing volunteers for the time I was there. The hostel itself was an oasis in the city, just beautiful to live in with so many areas to either be social or to chill out. Can't recommend the hostel enough, I would love to come back at some point 🄰

The hostel is without exaggerating the most beautiful hostel I have ever been to! It is located in a not so touristy neighborhood but still really central. You would not expect such a spacious area so central. The tasks we got were mainly fun and social but some were a bit more exhausting like housekeeping or gardening. As volunteer I was treated as part of the hostels team with a lot of respect and as part of the family :) I would recommend this hostel to everyone who wants to have a really social experience and wants learn how to work in hospitality. All in all I a wonderful month in the hostel!

The hostel was my first volunteering experience and I loved every part of it. In the end it was really difficult leaving because of how deeply attached you grow to this place and to its people, staff members, guests and volunteers alike. Working hours are super fair and allow you for all the time that you'd possibly need to explore the city and surroundings. All in all I would say tens across the board. Definitely go volunteer at the hostel if you're thinking of exploring the hostel! much love xx

The hostel Jordis is a truly amazing hostel community! This was my first worldpackers experience, and the hostel Jordis was perfect for me as a first time volunteer! The expectations of the volunteers were clearly communicated by the staff, and they were extremely flexible and understanding of our needs during the stay. I am so grateful to have been a part of the hostel family for a month, the staff, guests, and volunteers all worked together in a way that really made the hostel feel like a home away from home. If your thinking of worldpacking in the hostel, this is the place to do it!
