Volunteering at our Social Hostel.

I had great a time! The shifts are very manageable, and the work environment is welcoming and cooperative. The Imaginary Hostel has a relaxed and cozy atmosphere, and you have the possibility to visit The Monks whenever you want, which is a more dynamic and social hostel. I had the opportunity to meet people from all corners of the world. With four days off each week, I was able to explore Estonia and its neighboring countries. I highly recommend this experience!

It's the best deal on the platform: you work only three days and receive free food and accommodation. Tallinn is close to many interesting places you can visit, such as Helsinki, Stockholm, Riga, and Saint Petersburg. But what made the experience perfect was the people I worked with at the Imaginary Hostel, especially the manager, Polina, whose guidance made me feel at home by creating a comfortable atmosphere that made me wish I could have stayed much longer.

My experience at Monks the hostel was amazing! The hostel is perfect for meeting people from around the world, making connections, and immersing yourself in new cultures—all while having fun. The atmosphere is vibrant and welcoming, with daily activities that ensure interaction and excitement. In winter, Tallinn becomes a fairy-tale setting, with snow, cozy cafés, and easy access to neighboring countries. This was my favorite volunteer experience—I managed to study, travel, make friends, and create memories that I'll cherish forever!

Volunteering at this hostel was an incredible experience, full of meaning and personal growth. From the very beginning, I felt welcomed by the team and the work environment was positive and collaborative. The atmosphere is both social and relaxed, making it easy to connect with guests and other volunteers. Plenty of food was provided, which made the experience even more comfortable. The only downside was the male staff dorm, which was cramped. Overall, I highly recommend this hostel for anyone looking for a meaningful volunteering opportunity in a welcoming and vibrant setting! Had a great time at the Monks the hostel hours are respected and the work is super fair, the whole staff team is super nice and receptive and Fausta and Jordy are great managers and always available to talk. There is a good selection of food available, you can join the pubcraw and in general It's a nice place to socialize

My stay at the hostel was absolutely fantastic from the very first day to the last. Jordy and the whole staff are amazing, very caring and welcoming. The hostel feels like being at home, the rooms are comfortable, the people are wonderful and it's such a beautiful place to be part of! The communication with the host is great, he always makes sure to reply and to make the experience calm and enjoyable. The work is very nice and fun. I definitely recommend this experience and hope I can return to this magical place!

I loved my experience at the hostel, this was my first time volunteering and everyone treated me so nicely. The work is easy and I enjoyed doing the tasks and meeting and socializing with the guests. I really felt at home and I plan to come back at some point in the future. Thank you to all of you for making my experience so good. 5*****

I had a great experience at this hostel. The staff and other volunteers were very friendly and welcoming, working hours were fair and always respected, and the work itself was reasonable and varied. There was always plenty of food and Jordy was happy to work around my schooling at the start of my time here. Would highly recommend.

Thankfully this is a really well run hostel that is under great management with Polina. She manages to meet the perfect balance of professionalism and informality. I felt safe knowing that I could turn to her at any point if I had an issue. She has nurtured a really lovely team of volunteers and I cannot wait to return to see them all in the summer!

Extremely small room, cube room with 3 other guys. Showers were filthy. What I would say is they provide breakfast dinner lunch and dinner usually at 8pm and loads of events happening that you have to organise. Drinks were very cheap and most of the people were friendly. Very close to old town Tallinn and probably the biggest party hostel in Tallinn. The cleaning is very dirty and you are working for free so expect that. Free accommodation but the accommodation isn't feasible, I would suggest for the volunteers to be put in a bigger room. Some of the volunteers were really friendly but not all

Laurence failed to understand what volunteering is, always asking to be paid and asking other people to pay for him. He did perform any of the tasks ask of him, lazy and spent most of his time trying to get free things. We had to ask Laurence leave early as he made customers, volunteers and staff feel very uncomfortable to be around him.
