It was my first volunteering experience at WP and I chose the right place since Dave made me feel at home. In the beginning, it was challenging because you have to observe, learn and become familiar with things and tasks, so once you adapt you do the best job as a volunteer and the host is satisfied and happy with your work. I am very grateful to Dave for his support these 2 weeks that I stayed. Weekends were off, and because the location of this place is very close to Oxford city centre you can easily walk or ride highly recommend this experience if you want to enhance your English. Definitely, I recommend this volunteering. In the beginning, Dave looked pretty structured, but after I understood, everything was so sorted it was easier for myself. The job is simple and the place is lovely. Also, he tried to help me with everything. I'm very grateful Dave! Nice to meet you!

First of all, Thank for everything. I really appriciate your kindness. I did some work such as cleaning and gardening about 4 hours per day except weekends. He gave me good coffee and tea and meal everyday. It was first time homestay another country with different national people. It was such a nice decision to stay there. I had totally new experience also improve my English. He taught me a lot of things for help my English and for my future. He gave me free time on Weekend, so I discovered Oxford on Weekend. There is very quiet and comfortable to stay so I really recommend to stay there!

During this experience I had the opportunity to learn many things,lessons and concepts that will be useful to me for the rest of my life, as well as having improved my knowledge of the English language. Dave is a person with a lot of experience and interesting stories to tell, as well as being very helpful, understanding and flexible when it comes to working. I didn't have any problem with food and accommodation and since there will probably be other guests in your same house, you may be lucky enough to make friends in order to be able to experience the nightlife that Oxford can offer.

Great stay with Dave in Oxford. The thing that I loved the most was the meals that Dave made -especially DDD (Dave's Delicious Deserts) It was a very useful time as Dave is nearly always at home and I can directly ask questions for my English and learn different jobs in his home/garden, I like the ambience in Dave house -quiet and peaceful and my life here was free and easy -I could follow whatever kind of interest I wanted eg walking or chatting to friends or reading. Dave also did his best to help me with nearly everything - understand my problems, helping me with travel, he's a good man

I am not going to write the same beautiful things that you can read in other reviews because it makes no sense but I'm sure they are true. I have to say I feel that my English has improved considerably in three weeks there. I read some stories from a book loudly with him and it helped to have a better vocabulary, reading and especially speaking. There were some misunderstandings between us because of our personality and I had to come back before expected but apart from that I can confirm that he is always willing to help you and tries to do his best with the helpers.

Every thing was perfect The work is pretty easy Just cleaning and helping Dave with dishes and cooking Oxford is a nice city to go for long walks and you can entertain yourself with the many museums they have, so you won't get bored. The food is absolutely amazing!!!! Dave is a really really great cook, you can't miss his curry or chocolate cake !! That's something I'll definitely miss :( haha You will also have the best conversation with him, he's a really wise man I'm definitely looking forward to go back to oxford as soon as I can It's been a real pleasure Thank you Dave

Minha experiência com o Dave foi um pouco conturbada. Ele disse que não me aceitaria por menos de um mês, então aceitei essa condição (após negociar as datas). No entanto, cancelou minha estadia após duas semanas, antes do combinado na plataforma. Fez comentários que para mim foram ofensivos sobre meu peso, dizendo que, com 80 kg, eu era o voluntário mais pesado em 10 anos que já esteve lá. Falou do meu hálito também. O trabalho é leve e os horários foram respeitados, mas eu não podia cozinhar na cozinha da casa dele, o que foi um problema por ser vegetariano.

1- Vinicius made too many changes to agreed arrival/departure times.
-Arrived 1 week later & depart 2 weeks earlier than our first agreement
World packers is not a hotel where travellers book in/out as they wish.
2/ Your weight- you lied on my application form 74kg actually its 80kg
3/ Didn't learn English names of house tools before arrival as requested.
4/ Didn't follow requirement to take breakfast and dinner at main house.
I don't provide cooking facilities at 2nd house.

Mi experiencia con dave la verdad fue muy buena siempre me apoyo en el ingles ya que se me dificultaba mucho a la hora de hablar y me tuvo mucha paciencia en todo.Estoy muy agradecido con dave por abrirme las puertas de su hogar y como mi primer voluntariado me parecio una experiencia fenomenal
