It was a very good experience. Dave became a great friend, and I had the opportunity to improve my English during the stay.

It was an interesting experience! Dave is really funny and made me laugh constantly! I've grown to love our daily routine! He's also an amazing cook! He lives just minutes away from the center by bus. Or you take a nice thirty minute stroll along the Thames River right into the city! Great experience!

Dave is very kind. He gave me advice on how to visit the city, improve my English, and repair my laptop. Helped me to organize my trip. He wrote to me before and after my stay in Oxford, so he is involved the work tasks were easy, with hours always respected. My English wasn't the best, but we had some great conversations, he had so many stories to tell. I cooked something for him and he cooked a fantastic Lasagna! Don't hesitate to write to me, I'm always available

Dave is nice and welcoming, he's lived a very interesting life, knows about a lot of topics and has been hosting volunteers for many years, making it easy to chat with him while having a cup of tea. The tasks aren't too complicated and leave enough time to visit Oxford (which has a lot to offer) in the afternoons and nearby cities like London during the weekends. Good experience to learn about the culture and improve your English.

Dave is a great person—charismatic, active, and a tea lover! Despite my limited English, we had good conversations, and the household tasks were simple. I stayed 13 days, sleeping 3 nights in a private room and 10 in the same room as Dave, with two single beds side by side. Since it was winter break, I only met one Italian student briefly. Dave and I cooked meals together and explored the city, forming a good friendship. A suggestion for improvement would be maintaining a bit more respectful distance, as some cultures may prefer more personal space.

I had the chance to do some volunteer work with Dave, and he's a really kind, patient, and good-humored person. He has a fascinating life story and was always willing to lend a hand when I needed help. The household tasks weren't hard at all, and he even gave me great tips about the city and helped me improve my English. 10/10!

Dave is very kind, always attentive and will help you practice your English, recommend places to go in Oxford and the UK. The work is easy and the hours are excellent. Tips: if you want to practice English there are some schools/churches that teach English for free. Oxford is a student city so it is easy to meet new people.

I spent a month volunteering for Dave, once you get used to the routine and the new environment you start to realize he is a generous and kind man, and how he is always trying to be fair with the amount and the kind of work you have to do. If you make an effort to make everyone's experience easier and placid, he will definitely do the same for you. It's been an awesome experience, Oxford is a beautiful city filled with history, art, gardens, meadows and walks by the Tames; and Dave has always been up to give some advice on what to visit or how to get somewhere.

It was a good experience. The work is simple, and Dave respects the work hours. He also gives you tips on exploring the city. Oxford is a city you can get to know by walking, and on weekends, you can go to London since it's only an hour and a half away.
