Volunteering at Komae was an overall great experience - the work was easy and didn't take up too much of my day, so I had lots of time to explore and travel around. The location is really good, especially if you prefer staying in a quiet and peaceful area while still being close to the center of Tokyo. There is lots of opportunities to socialize with other travelers and locals. This was my first Worldpackers experience and a great one at that - I can truly recommend it to anyone wanting to experience life in Japan! :)

My experience in the guest house was great, I met many interesting people from over the world, the social network of people here is stimulating and enriching The accommodation is good! It has everything it needs for daily life and there's a big lounge where social moments happen I only wish there was more attention to igiene and order, but I guess it will depend on the people you'll be living with The tasks are pretty easy and give you a lot of time to explore the city and the culture Mr. Kaz even pays for pasta, rice, igiene products and some social/cultural events around the town. Grazie!

Was a pleasure meeting fellow travelers and going to events learning about traditional Japanese dances and talking to locals in the community.

I had a great time at Komae! The tasks were simple and required little time, so you were able to explore around. Also the timetable was very flexible so I was also able to travel around the country too.

I loved my time at the guest house! The tasks were super easy allowing you tons of time to explore Tokyo. The location is pretty good (close to the train station) and the wai wai lounge is a great place to hang out when you don't feel like leaving. I really felt like I got an authentic experience living like a local in a Tokyo suburb, but also did not feel isolated from all the excitement in Tokyo. I'd be back in a heartbeat!
