Effie and her family are all so sweet and welcoming! The hours are as agreed upon, and there's flexibility with days off and switching shifts with other volunteers. I unfortunately got sick and had to end my trip early, but Effie was very understanding and supportive. Allan is such a sweet boy, I will definitely miss looking after him! The hostel has a cafe/restaurant in the lobby, so you meet both travellers and locals who come to eat, drink, and play pool. I definitely reccomend this to anyone who wants to stay in a great location in Bangkok with a very welcoming local family :))

Effie and her family are so nice and welcoming! The hostel is in a great location to see the city and it's a great way to meet other travellers. The work isn't too complicated and there's plenty of free time to explore Bangkok. Thank you Effie!!

I truly recommend the hostel for a month of exploring Bangkok. Everyone from Effie and her family, the housekeepers, other volunteers to guests is extremely nice and helpful. The work is really easy and after work you have enough freetime to explore to city. The location of the hostel is also really good, as it is close to many tourist attractions and the metro is only a 5 minutewalk away. Thank you Effie!

The hostel's location is perfect and it's easy to connect with other travelers at the hostel. The place is cozy, friendly and has a welcoming vibe. Allan, Effie's son is adorable! We would aways hang out and play during the shifts, I'll miss him very very much. Also felt very much home here, would definitely recommend! Will pop over for a visit to say hi in the near future as I'm staying in Thailand for a few months 🫶

I had the best time at the hostel, it is such a cozy place to live. The family who owns it and the housekeepers are all just so amazing and you really feel apart of the family. I was really upset leaving & I definitely will be back. The hours and tasks are very manageable and the best part is you meet so many amazing people who come through the hostel. And Effie's son Allan is an absolute gem, he is such a sweetheart and makes those shifts fly by. Thank you for everything guys!

I am thankful for this experience and the opportunity. It was my first time traveling solo and couldn't have asked for more. I met a lot of people in the hostel and felt very welcomed. Thank you Effie! Definitely recommend.

I am delighted the hostel bikes were my first Worldpackers experience. Effie, Soda, and Allan were very welcoming and helpful. This was my very first time leaving America so I was pretty nervous, to be in a foreign country (especially as a gay man) where there was a language barrier. Effie If you read this, thank you so much for this experience and everything you have done for me, I will carry these memories with me for many years to come. As for other Worldpackers, you won't be disappointed in this experience, bonus points if you know anything about pool or trains!

Staying at the hostel was sensational. I was able to learn a lot about the local culture and get in touch with travelers from all over the world. At the end of volunteering I was sure I had chosen the right place to share experiences. It is a family atmosphere that brings a lot of lightness and provides great stories. In addition, the other volunteers were an essential part of this journey. If you have the opportunity, come visit this place. Thank you Effie.
