We were blessed to have Baran with us. He was smart, polite, and charming. He speaks perfect English. He was very helpful and did a great job at the reception. We can rely on him and the guests like him. He will help you without asking. Highly recommended!

Everything was better than expected! I was working at Ola Bar just across the road from the hostel and the job was simple. The kindness and politeness of the owners Effie and Soda is a great example of the culture of this great country. I already missing all the people that I met there from the staff, locals, colleagues and some guests. Hope to cya all in the future 🙏

My boyfriend and I spent an amazing month at the hostel. We worked at the bar and it was a sensacionall experience. Effie is a lovely person and all the hostel and bar staff are very friendly. We had plenty of time to get to know Bangkok, visit all the sights, and explore the less touristy and most charming parts of the city. We learned a lot about the Thais and their culture there. The work was simple, the hours and days off were followed very well, and the atmosphere really is wonderful. I not only recommend it, but would go again if I return to Bangkok. Coral and Vitor were very sweet and romantic couple. They did very well at the bar and they accompanied each other most of the time. They created a very good atmosphere at the bar. It was slow at the bar while they were here but they made the place so lively. They could dance and sing very well. We were very happy to meet them and learn different culture from them. Highly recommended!

IT was the greatest first experience for a Worldpacking adverture. Effie is great, so is Elle and Soda, whi help you knowing the daily tasks. The working hours are respected and you get the day off to explore Bangkok. The hostel is located in a estrategic place downtown. 20 minutos walking from Chinatown, Khao San Road, The Great Palace and othe places you'll want to visit. I highly recomend it.

The experience I have had at the hostel has been absolutely amazing. The atmosphere of the place is so friendly, relaxed and admirable. The people that run the hostel are so warm and kind. The hours are perfect for anyone wishing to still have time to travel and the location is great as there are so many temples and things to see and do around. If you are looking for a quiet, fun and chill place to volunteer. 110% recommend this wonderful place.

Bri came to our hostel as a volunteer and left as my sister. She was so helpful and enthusiastic about learning. She was a sweet and caring person. Everyone loves her, especially my 4 years old son! She was so good with kids. She worked as it was her own business. She helped me develop a website for a new bar business as well as social media. She is always welcome here! Highly recommended!

I did not feel like being a volunteer at the hostel but an employee. Effie is always busy running from one side to the other and can hardly ever give us attention to exchange experiences. The hostel has some management issues that bothered a bit, for example; control of money is inefficient. Overall the expence was good. The hostel is very tidy and clean, well located. The work described on the site was followed. The work itself was quite simple, but the accuracy of several procedures that were not taught. It was not a previous training, just started work.

So lucky to have chosen the hostel as my first hostel. I had so much fun learning new things. Staff was indeed like family and my stay couldn't have been made better by the warmth and the cleanliness of the place. A lot of changes were made to the schedule but they were still able to accommodate me and my travel plans. Effie, the owner, was very considerate and kind. :)

Me quedé ahí 10 semanas. Effie es una excelente persona, muy atenta, trabajadora y amigable. Le agradezco mucho haberme hospedado y todas las atenciones que me dió 💖 Conocí a voluntarios de muchos países diferentes y nos hicimos muy buenos amigos. La ubicación está genial para visitar muchos lugares turísticos pero sin un costo de vida elevado. Muchas gracias por todo Effie, muchos éxitos 😘
