The experience

We are a brand new hostel located in Beimen area (Taipei Main Station Area). We would love to accept people around the world to make our hostel a interesting place. The working detail will be doing some simple housekeeping and help our staff with the check-in process.
We are also very open-minded and it would be fun to have travelers joining our team. It's also a great chance for you to blend in the local life and to interact with others.


What you offer

5 hours of help per day

Party Promoter: Help organise and promote parties and social activities.

Reception: Help with check-ins, check-outs and guest assistance.

Cleaning: Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.

Housekeeping: Help with changing the bed linens and general housekeeping.

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Only hosts solo volunteers (doesn’t accept couples or partners)

Program Details

We are looking for helpers to work with us in exchange for accommodation, we currently accept helpers for 2 weeks.

Job scope will be simple as monitoring Mayrooms and doing some simple housekeeping for 4 ~5 hrs half day, 5 days per week and 2 days off.

Our busiest times are Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and the last day of consecutive holidays. We cannot take any time off during these days. Please understand.

During free time, you can join our guests for outdoor activities e.g.: visiting night markets in Taipei or hiking...~ If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask us!


Rules

1.Change the bed sheets whenever you are about to move switch the bed, and keep the surroundings tidy.

2.Please always keep the kitchen and the dishes clean whenever you use it.
Due to ventilation issues, the small kitchen in the TMS branch does not allow frying, stir-frying, or deep-frying, including fried eggs, as this will attract rats, cockroaches, and other problems. Please cooperate.

3.9.Due to relevant government regulations, non-residents must have a work visa. Please apply online: https://www.boca.gov.tw/cp-153-379-8aa37-2.html.
If you do not have a work visa or working holiday visa, we still welcome you as long as you can cooperate with us.

4.The receptionist is in charge of distributing the daily work. We have TMS and NTU branches. The allocation will be arranged according to the application date. Usually, it will be fixed in one of the branches. If there is demand, the two branches may be rotated.

5.You will have two days off each week, with a working schedule of five hours per day. The main tasks involve cleaning and folding bed linens. The schedule may be adjusted every week depending on the workload of the hostel.
Friday, Saturday, Sunday and the day after consecutive holidays are the busiest days. In principle, there will be no rest days, but you can rest early if you finish early.

6.Two weeks is the maximum stay period, but the extension would depend on our individual needs and how much we get along with each other. The extension period will be limited to two weeks at a time.

7.In line with the operational needs of the hostel, there might be instances where we'll need your cooperation for changing beds or rooms. Your understanding and flexibility in this matter are greatly appreciated.
