It was my first experience volunteering and I had the best time of my life! The hosts are super kind and caring, always looking for us to make sure we are comfortable and having a great time. I made friends for life with the other volunteers. The dogs are so cute and they love cuddles. Would love to come back there!!

I spent two months in this beautiful place completely surrounded by nature. The restaurant is in the countryside of sweden and there are not a lot of social events to visit, but the lake and the volunteers make it such I nice place to stay! The working hours are really respected and there's flexibility on days off. They offer rides to the supermarket and the train station if needed and are also very worried about our well being. The work in the restaurant can be very stressful at times, so it's nice to be able to work under pressure and not take things personally. Over all, great experience!

I have learned new things and I also practised my English as I wanted to do. The family was nice with all of us. I enjoyed working as a waitress and all the guests were so kind and very polite. I loved the volunteers and working with the dogs. The landscapes were incredible. My expectatives have been covered. I had a nice experience and I totally recommend it!

This was my first volunteering experience and I don't think I could've chosen better. Both Fridus and Roswitha are very welcoming, caring and made me feel right at home. I was surprised how beautiful the surroundings were. The nature there is simply breathtaking even during more rainy and cloudy days. Work is easy and enjoyable although sometimes can be a bit tiring. During 'rush hours' in the restaurant, work in the kitchen can be a little stressful and there can be some disagreements but they are quickly resolved. I will miss everyone very much and hope I will come here again!!

An amazing experience. I felt at ease with Roswitha&Fridus from the beginning and also with the other volunteers. I had a great time with the volunteers, I made a lot of inside-jokes and I felt very welcome from the first day. Roswitha&Fridus are very friendly, always respect the working hours and care about you. And the dogs are lovely. I was lucky enough to been there when was a litter of puppies that had to be moved from one garden to another, fed them and when they grew up, given their first walks. I will miss them very much. I would repeat the experience without hesitation.

The nature was stunning, the people I met were nicer than I ever expected them to be. I made great friends! The dogs are nice, but sometimes hard to handle, especially the two big ones. You have to know that you probably don't do outside work even if you applied for that, I loved the kitchen work too, but if you really want to do outside work you have to tell Fridus an Roswitha, because they need the most help in the kitchen. Sometimes I wished we would be talked to respectfullier, in the kitchen, because we aren't professionals. All in all I really enjoyed my stay there!

My first worldpacker experience and it coudnt have been better. Everything was even better than I expected. I felt welcomed. Nature was so beautiful and everywhere. Dogs were friendly and I fell in love with them and Fridus and Roswitha are very nice people whom I liked to work with. Working hours were more than respected. I really enjoyed my 2-moths stay there and will be back someday. I met a lot of voluenteers during my stay and we had a lot of fun. If you are reading this and wondering If you should aply or not... do it!! It will be worth it. So many great memories from this place.

I had a great stay overall, the hours are respected and you get to da range of things in the kitchen. Unfortunately after 2 weeks there was some trouble with the water which meant the restaurant had to close but we were still able to do some work like cleaning or preparing things in advance. We also walked the dogs in the morning and evening which was good fun and helped with the puppies. The scenery around Tolvsbo is stunning, the lake is beautiful, its super close so you can easily access it. I met some lovely people I felt like we had a really good group and all got on well. Thank you!

I enjoyed a lot these weeks in Soderbarke! I find it a really peaceful place with amazing people and amazing nature. I loved meeting the other volunteers and the time we shared. At the same time, the hosts looked after us and helped to made us feel like home. The lakes and woods near it were incredible. I'm glad I could live this experience!
