I've had an amazing month in Tolvsbo with Roswitha & Fridus, all the volunteers I've met and, of course, the amazing 6 cute and nice dogs. I'm so grateful for this unique experience. The surroundings are really beautiful and magical. The main tasks when the restaurant is not open for guests are quite varied. We can help Fridus with outside work and help Roswitha to prepare food in the kitchen. You will learn everything in a few days if you have the desire to learn. The food is delicious. We always have coffee and tea. I had the pleasure of kayaking and cycling on my days off. Tack så mycket!

I've had the most amazing month staying with Roswitha and Fridus! They're lovely people with a lot of patience. The dogs were absolutely adorable and I really enjoyed walking them. The rest of the work was also fun, definitely when I could do it with the other volunteers. I've met great people and felt really welcome in their home :) I've learned a lot about myself and in general and would immediately go back if I could!

I had an amazing month with Roswitha and Fridus! They are very kind and calm people and I'm so grateful for the time we spent together with the other volunteers and of course the dogs! The surrounding forest and the lake is absolutely beautiful and a great place to relax, get in touch with nature and live a simple life. When the restaurant is closed the volunteers mainly help with taking care of their 6 (at the time) dogs, walking them etc. and also helping with small tasks like cooking dinner, preparing things for the restaurant and helping with some outside tasks. Tak for alt!

The experience was very meaningful for me. It's a beautiful,cozy place where I met lovely people and lovely dogs! I think that the work depends on the season you are coming because when the restaurant is open, work is very different and can be a bit more stressful. I came in a season where the restaurant was closed so we cared a lot for the dogs and did some restaurant preparations… besides. What I really appreciated was that we could go in the kitchen take/make food whenever we wanted to so It felt like being home. Altogether was it a nice experience for me, I recommend it!

It was my first experience volunteering and I had the best time of my life! The hosts are super kind and caring, always looking for us to make sure we are comfortable and having a great time. I made friends for life with the other volunteers. The dogs are so cute and they love cuddles. Would love to come back there!!

Fridus and Roswitha are both gems! The lake is beautiful! The food is tasty and dogs are so fluffy and nice!

I spent two months in this beautiful place completely surrounded by nature. The restaurant is in the countryside of sweden and there are not a lot of social events to visit, but the lake and the volunteers make it such I nice place to stay! The working hours are really respected and there's flexibility on days off. They offer rides to the supermarket and the train station if needed and are also very worried about our well being. The work in the restaurant can be very stressful at times, so it's nice to be able to work under pressure and not take things personally. Over all, great experience!

I have learned new things and I also practised my English as I wanted to do. The family was nice with all of us. I enjoyed working as a waitress and all the guests were so kind and very polite. I loved the volunteers and working with the dogs. The landscapes were incredible. My expectatives have been covered. I had a nice experience and I totally recommend it!

This was my first volunteering experience and I don't think I could've chosen better. Both Fridus and Roswitha are very welcoming, caring and made me feel right at home. I was surprised how beautiful the surroundings were. The nature there is simply breathtaking even during more rainy and cloudy days. Work is easy and enjoyable although sometimes can be a bit tiring. During 'rush hours' in the restaurant, work in the kitchen can be a little stressful and there can be some disagreements but they are quickly resolved. I will miss everyone very much and hope I will come here again!!

An amazing experience. I felt at ease with Roswitha&Fridus from the beginning and also with the other volunteers. I had a great time with the volunteers, I made a lot of inside-jokes and I felt very welcome from the first day. Roswitha&Fridus are very friendly, always respect the working hours and care about you. And the dogs are lovely. I was lucky enough to been there when was a litter of puppies that had to be moved from one garden to another, fed them and when they grew up, given their first walks. I will miss them very much. I would repeat the experience without hesitation.
