I was so blessed with this experience. The staff is extremely incredible and I felt at home. Joseph and Kate are the sweetest couple ever and they helped me with everything I needed. I worked fair amount of hours and still was able to do everything I wanted to do in the city. I got to learn a lot about how to run a hostel and I will definitely come back again to visit. I totally recommend this to everyone who is willing to learn and wants to have a great time in Liverpool!

BEST PLACE EVER. I can never be enough grateful for my time here in The Pod ❤ Joseph and his Family made me feel just like in home, they are such nice people. Very warm. The atmosphere there is very warm and relaxed! If you don't like to do cleaning and help is not the place for you! The tasks are very very easy I can tell you that 😊 and you will have enough time for knowing the city. The hardest part was having to say goodbye to everyone. Thank you for everything!!! Wish you the best of success jn the hostel guys ❤ you are building a beautiful place.

I had a really great time at The Liverpool Pod. I felt like home from the first minute on. The other helpers were really nice and integrated me immediately to the group. The owner and his family really care about the volunteers and try their best to make you feel like home! With success I would say;) The tasks in the hostel are easy and need not that much time to understand. If you like to work in a group and always give your best and also be polite, the Pod will be a great place for you! It was an amazing experience to work here and I can highly recommend this place! Thank you very much!!

When I arrived to Liverpool I didnd't believe that I would find such a cozy place. For me it has been a wonderful experience, I have met many people and I have been able to practice and improve my english. The owner and his family are very friendly and make you feel at home. I'm very grateful to them!! In the hostel you have a easy work, and you have enough free time for to visit nearby places. Definetely if you are thinking of traveling to England you should choose this place. I totally recommend it!!

I won a second family and a new house. My experience in The Liverpool Pod was wonderful. I got so many experiences and knowledge in my life. I had a very nice routine. All the morning the volunteers help to organize the breakfast to the guests, then we clean the rooms, change the beds and put on the washing machine. Basically, our work is finished. Later we have just to wait for some guest who is coming and make them feel comfortable. I really enjoy my experience cause I felt like I was in my home. Joseph and Katy were always worried about if I was good if I was enjoying my free time and teaching to cook some nice sandwiches. The hostel is near to the city center and around many supermarkets, fast food shops and parks like Stanley Park. I really can't find enough words to say how awesome it was for me. I just would like to say thank you very much to Joseph and Katye for everything you guys did for me on this 3 months. I'll never ever forget The Liverpool Pod and this amazing family you are. I hope to see you all very very soon. Love you all. Brazilian hugs

My experience in The Liverpool Pod Hostel was amazing!!! I really enjoyed my stay there!!! The tasks were easy, the staff friendly and helpful, and the owner very polite. He explained the tasks to me patiently and he was at my disposal at any time. He really cares about the staff' comfort and enjoyment. The atmosphere in this hostel is incredible, as soon as I arrived, I immediately felt comfortable and as if I were at home. I absolutely recommend The Liverpool Pod Hostel to everyone!! Once you arrived there, you'll not want to come back home haha

"MY SECOND HOME" this is what I think when someone ask me about The Liverpool Pod, I can't thank you enough for this experience in my life, the owners are very friendly and make you feel at home all the time. OH MY DAYS! This is the second time I have stayed at this place as a helper and still teaching me good things, can you imagine that?If you are looking for an experience to learn a new culture, work as a team, share good moments meeting people from all over the world and of course be a friendly helper, this is definitely the perfect place for you. My experience at the hotel was wonderful, it's a very easy job and it will not take much time. The hotel is very well connected to the center of Liverpool, and is practically next to the football stadium, ideal if you are a football lover. In the time I was there, I not only learned about Liverpool, I also learned how to live with other people, and how to deal with guests. The coexistence was great, the treatment received by both the boss and the other volunteers was incredible, I felt at home from the first day. It has been a pleasure The Liverpool Pod!

My experience in the Liverpool Pod was amazing. From the first moment they made me feel like in home, like I'm part of the family. The other volunteers were also amazing people that made my trip unforgettable. The atmosphere is really nice. The tasks are really easy and it allows you to have a lot of free time. The hostel location it's perfect if you like football. You can see Goodison Park from the windows. Liverpool is an amazing city with a lot of culture and history. There are a lot of things to do for free if you go with a low budget. I'm going to miss y'all ❤️ hope to see you soon

My experience was not good, if I loved the work team and the work itself, but on three occasions the owner Joseph has treated me very badly and even humiliating without knowing why, the times I tried to talk to him, he did not want to listen to me , is a person of changing character, who had already read here, but I never imagined that I would live it in my own flesh, they never treated me with such disrespect and I think that for us volunteers it is important to know. Without a doubt, he never had a reason, because when I sent him a message that said how I felt, he never responded.

All noticed you wasn’t interested in helping. Gül asked & told you - you are free to leave but stayed for free ride and did nothing. One has to ask, if you wasn’t happy why did you not leave.

You told Volunteers,
don’t clean the rooms, they don’t need to cleaning.

Fee paying guests such as Alan, commented negatively towards you, you just weren’t liked.

Every single volunteer within that working group have all thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

We hope that you learn in future that you can’t just come to a place, use the facilities, take everything and give nothing in return and then expect to get a good review.
