This was my first volunteer experience and it was absolutely worth it! The hostel is well located and Nijmegen is a very nice city. And you will have enough free time to explore other cities in the Netherlands as well :) The shifts were not that difficult, except on particularly busy days. Joep is a great host, always available for information and to give you tips and suggestions to make the most of your free time. This experience is perfect if you want to meet people from all over the world and if you want to improve your English. I would recommend it to anyone!

Amazing experience! It was my first time volunteering and I had a really good time. This city deserves a try, there's always something going on. I had a lot of free time to enjoy my stay at its best. The shifts weren't difficult at all. Sometimes in busy days the cleaning might be a bit tiring but the other volunteers were always willing to help. Joep is a great host, always available for every unexpected situation. I learned a lot about life during this month and I hope that many people will have my same opportunity!

My time at the hostel was amazing! It was my first worldpackers experience and I couldn't have asked for anything better. The work was very easy and since the hostel is on the smaller side I got to connect with all of the guests that visited. Joep was great and accessible whenever if there was an issue or if we just had a question. Joep also accepted great volunteers and I felt like I was friends with everyone there! I definitely recommend this experience (:

Our experience at the hostel was amazing, the place is perfectly located and the city is beautiful. Joep was always open to help us with everything we might need (Schedules, information, tips) he looked for us to feel comfortable during our stay and we get to know amazing people from around the world. We were able to extend our stay and I would definitely comeback to enjoy another summer in Nijmegen.

It is my first volunteering experience, I would repeat it 100%. It has been incredible to meet people from all over the world, Nijmegen is one of the best cities I have visited in the Netherlands, it is very nice, the people of the city are very friendly, we have improved our level of English and we have been able to travel and visit new cities. The tasks in the hostel are well distributed and in general there is good organization.

I had an amazing experience with the hostel and the host, Joep! The workload is very reasonable; it is either a cleaning shift in the morning or a reception shift in the evening. He is flexible with which days off you have and truly wants you to have a good experience during your stay in and outside of the hostel. Though Joep is not always at the hostel, he is always reachable by text or phone. Nijmegen is beautiful and has so much to offer. The hostel is very central so everything is in a walk-able distance. It was also a great opportunity to meet locals and travellers alike!

Joep is a very kind, generous & fair person! He was organized and clear about tasks & schedules. He did everything in his power to accommodate for preferred shifts, days off & was very helpful to me when I had an unexpected unfortunate situation occur & I am very grateful for that! I got lucky with the majority of the volunteers, they were fun & kind & we all spoke Spanish hence why my Spanish improved! The volunteers also have their own room which had 5-6 of us in 1 room. It was a bit tight, but for the most part everyone was in there at different times! Overall, this was a great experience!
