The stay at the guest house was amazing. It was my first time volunteering and I definitely recommend it. John is very nice, cooks great and loves to talk to the volunteers. The tasks are easy: often we worked only 4 hours per day. The landscape is lovely and even better than expected. There are lots of possibilities to hike and you can use the bicycle of John too. He convinced me to stay 3 instead of 2 weeks and I'm glad I spent that much time there:)

The place has such a real, authentic vibe with proper Irish charm. From the first day, it felt like I was part of something, not just passing through. The work was honestly a breeze, what made it even better was having loads of free time, which was perfect because there's so much to do in the area. What truly made the experience shine, though, was John himself. One of the nicest people you'll meet. He makes you feel right at home, like you've known him for years. He's full of stories and always up for a laugh. This is the kind of place that sticks with you forever. Can't recommend it enough.

I spend five weeks in the guest house b&b and had a great time! John is kind and a really good cook. I always worked from 8/9 am until around 1 pm. My main tasks were cleaning the rooms and serving the breakfast for the guests. The landscapes are so beautiful and the nearest pubs are worth a visit. I can recommend this place!

John is easy to get along with and a great cook. The tasks are easy and quickly done. The area is great for hiking and exploring nature, but there isn't much else to to do. John can drive you the Bus station in Letterfrack, from there you can go to many places and explore Connemara. This was my first volunteering experience and I enjoyed my stay :)

It was my first time volonteering, and i loved it. The tasks were really easy (cleaning, ironing, help for the breakfast...). John is a really nice person, and he will advices you to visit the connemara correctly (the nationnal park, kylemore abbey...) I really enjoyed my time there. I am a vegetarian and John cooked some really good vegetarians meals. The place is trully beautiful; we can see the hills and the sea from the place, it's a really nice place to stay for volonteering.

I had so much fun! I was there for a month and I was able to visit a lot of places nearby, because John was so kind to drop me and the other volunteer off at the bus station. It is possible to walk to the station, but it takes over an hour and there is no sidewalk or grass where you could walk on, so you would have to walk on a road with cars driving 80km/h. It also has to be noticed that he may not be able to do that for everyone because it depends on how busy the BnB is. In return we almost always cooked the lunch for which (and in general) we could use everything that was in the house.

This was a great place to have my first Worldpackers experience. The B&B is located in a beautiful area in the countryside, and John is a very welcoming host, helping you get around and suggesting things for you to do. The work mostly consisted of cleaning and helping out serving breakfasts. I would definitely recommend this experience, especially if you are looking to see a quieter part of Ireland with beautiful scenery.

I recommend this place 100%! John really cared that I had everything I needed and that the experience was the best it could be. I felt at home there and all the places around are totally worth seeing!! The work is definitely not hard to learn and after some time you can enjoy doing it and helping. I had also a loot of free time after the work. All this place has really unique vibe and I would definitely like to come back one day! Thank you once again!

If you're after a warm, family vibe and want to dive into nature, I can't recommend this place enough! This was my first Worldpackers experience, and I loved every minute of it. Connemara's stunning views and peaceful beaches totally blew me away, but what made it truly special were the dinners with John—he told the best stories and gave us an authentic feel for Irish culture. I fell in love with both the place and the people!!
