The host is very engaged with the environmental cause so I learned a lot about gardening, reducing and repurposing waste, and the local community. We even rescued puppies during my stay! If you come here you can expect varied tasks as the host likes it when everyone does a bit of everything. You shouldn't expect a very rigid shift schedule which I truly appreciated as I ended up starting a new job mid-experience and the host was very flexible and acommodating. But if you like rigid schedules with set days off and being constantly told what to do, you might struggle a bit.

Wonderful experience, for me it was the first experience as volunteer and i was very lucky to do it at the hostel.The owner is an authentic albanian and a inspiring guy, you can learn a lot just having a conversation with him.

I would have stayed for at least another month with Alban, Tempo and the puppies, but unfortunately there was already another destination confirmed, I loved every second of this experience as well as the tasks performed, the hostel is very well maintained and is close to everything, Saranda surprised my expectations on account of Alban and his incredible place, the only thing that made me a little sad was not being able to finish the green house sorry for that Alban! and Thanks for everything and the hostel <3

The hostel is a very unique place and we met a lot of different people there! Alban (the owner) is one of the best person that I ever met, always very kind and polite with everybody. Our tasks was about taking care of the garden, the puppies, Tempo and some few guests (we spend a month during the low season), certainly we will be back if we have the opportunity.

This was my first volunteer experience and it was perfect! The hostel is organized and working there was great. The other volunteers were awesome and that made the job fun. Albano is a very nice and caring guy, he is always ready to help. He is doing a great job in the garden and every day looks better. Saranda is one of the most beautiful cities I have visited in Albania and the people are very kind!. Thanks to everyone I met, Albano, Evangelo, Katy, Tempo (Cute dog) and everyone else! Thanks for the experience and for the patience, the hostel is part of my story now!

Staying this days with Alban at the hostel was a life changing experience. He is full of knowledge about his culture and about love with animals, and I really learned a lot with him. The place is also really beautiful and peaceful, I just loved it. I would recommend to everybody. But, once you are there you would not want to come back! Thank you Alban!

I had an excellent time in the hostel. Albán is great person and treath you as a friend. Work is not hard, the hostel is cozy and the surrounding beaches are beautiful. I'm very happy to have had the opportunity to come to this beautiful country.

My experience during my stay in the hostel could not have been better! The place is nice and cozy and Sarandë is a beautiful city to explore and have fun. Moreover, Alban is an amazing host and takes care of us volunteers as a friend. I would definitely recommend this experience to everybody. But be careful, once you are there you would not want to come back! Thank you Alban for everything!
