The hostel is te best hostel in Rio de Janeiro! The best vibe I found on the city! I wanted to stay more because I had one of the best WP experiences in PV! Felipe (the owner) and the team they really take care about the WP's. They're always able to talk and they are always in a good mood. The staff is the best, I made such a good friends there and the guests had such a good energy, we go out everyday! You can work in your knowledge area so I could write articles and take pictures, also I did reception. I really enjoy! I will definitively come back again! Many thanks guys! the hostel!

The hostel was my first experience as a worldpacker and it was just beyond great. From the start they made me a part of their family. I've got plenty of good memories from this place and I am more than thankful with Felipe, Dalton, the guys from reception and the whole staff. The tasks were easy and i had lot of time to get to know the place and the favela culture.(mindblowing btw) I totally recommend it. Thanks to you, once more, and the hostel!

I have no idea where to start as the experience was outrageous , not cool at all , not fun or learning . I arrived very happy and nervous the first day ( I never been is a hostel before but I was mentally ready ) when I arrived to the reception I wasn't welcome at all ( the owners were busy dealing with a robbery inside of the hostel ) . During my stay I met other WP but I shocked when I found out that they sell food and beach towel to survive in daily basis , is far from what I expected . 2 weeks before finishing the experience I was robbed inside of the room and I left as it was very bad

I don't think Luis was ready for a Hostel, an environment where you need to share everything with all kind of people.
No one should be shocked 'cause others sell food or towells at the beach. Thats life, some need that and some don't.
He also had problems with some (not only 1) other WPs.
Its true that when he got here we had just caught 2 guests stealing another guest and we turned them to the police.
We believe he should understand owners are not 100% of the time available, but we do our best!
He should have mentioned that after the problem was solved we went to talk to him as we do to all WPs.
Not only that, our reception staff welcomed him as soon as he got here, checked him in and guided him to his room.
Some days later he reported a charger, a sunglass case and an after shave were missing, but he was not sure if someone stole it.
He "thought" it was a guest, but he had no proof, he only said theis one guy had an "weird" look. ???
No other WP or guest reported any other missing item those days.
He also mentioned his lock wasnt closing his drawyer properly and we gave him a new one and moved him to a different room to avoid future missing items.
He was frustrated and decided to leave on the next day.
A few days after he left, other WPs mentioned he had found some of his stuff...
PS: It's important to mention that all rooms have electronic lock at door and guests and WPs are responsible for locking their stuff in their drawiers.
For privacy we don't have cameras inside rooms.

The experience it was great, I learn a lot. The hostel have a lot of pros for example the location, and you can borrow surf boards and bikes. The kitchen It needs to be upgrade also the wifi.

The hostel was my first experience as a worldpacker and I couldn't choose a better place! If you want have parties everyday, make friends from all world, stay close to the most famous beaches in Rio and others landmarks and learn new abilities, this is the best place for you! This hostel has good vides, good people and I felt part of the family. I loved it and I can't wait to be there again!

O really recommend this hostel. My time there was really nice. The staffs there reccept me like a family. The work time and Jobs was exactly like the description. I was really because i need to Go. Thank you for all the hostel ! I'll be back !

The hostel was the best first experience, the host and the staff make you feel like at home, it's a family. You can learn about the differents stiles of life in rio, also they help you with your Portuguese, they have the best parties, the best energy and for me the best hostel, it's so big. Work at the chicken was the funniest for me, but also if you are doing other homework, you don't even realize that it's a work, because you're having a good time. Finally the host picks the best world packers, so I enjoyed this adventure with the best people. Just the best hostel in Rio for sure!!!

Im sorry if this review ends to be a love letter but my stay at the hostel was just amazing, this family afopted me so quickly and made me feel so confortable that I just want to thank them. Felipe was very kind to me from the first day, he made sure I was having a good time at work. The girls at the kitchen were very nice too; Bea, Cris and Clia :) and then of course Guido and Fabio who tought me how to make my first caipirinha and took me to the best places in Río! I'll miss you all but I'll be back for sure :) of course you're all invited to my home in Argentina. Love and the hostel! Paz
