Activities & Shift

Breakfast Shift: This shift takes place every morning at 8am. Your main responsibilities will be serving breakfast at the kitchen table and ensuring the hostel is clean and tidy. You will be in charge of maintaining the common areas, such as the lounge, kitchen, and bathrooms. Don’t worry, you won’t be alone during this shift – there will always be other staff members to help. The breakfast shift is a great way to start the day and prepare the hostel for guests to enjoy a comfortable morning.

Housekeeping Shift: During the housekeeping shift, you will be responsible for changing bed linens, cleaning the rooms, and ensuring everything is in order. You will also tidy up and clean the common areas of the hostel. Like the breakfast shift, you’ll never be alone – other staff members will be there to assist you. This shift is important to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and create a pleasant environment for all guests.

Reception Shift: The reception shift involves a variety of tasks. You will check in guests, respond to emails, answer phone calls, and manage the hostel's daily operations. You’ll be handling the system that keeps everything running smoothly, including dealing with payments, issuing receipts, and making sure the guests’ needs are met. A good level of English is important for this shift, as you will be communicating directly with guests and dealing with any inquiries or concerns. Please note that this shift might involve working alone at times, as you're the first point of contact for guests.

Training: When you first arrive, you’ll have a chance to rest for two days after your travels. Once you’re settled in, we will provide you with training to make sure you’re comfortable.
