The hostel is a great place to stay. Nelson and Rafa are very welcoming people and i felt at home after the first few days. The work was easy to learn and the shifts were chill most of the time too. But you should know, that some of the promised things on the profile are not true. There were no discounts for restaurants, bars or parties and also no surfing or language lessons. So if you're looking for the typical portugal surf experience you should volunteer at another place. Nevertheless, i had a great time at the hostel and would recommend it to everyone.

My first Worldpackers experience and it was absolutely amazing! I met so many people from all over the world, the work was not difficult and atmosphere in hostel was really nice. I had plenty of time to do other things after work. Nelson is an amazing person, he made me feel so welcome immediately after I arrived and was always there to communicate and help. I spent month and a half at hostel and I would have stayed longer if I could! Overall, I recommend this place to everyone who is looking for new emotions and new experiences because you will definitely get them!!!

Amazing for a first volunteer experience; the hostel is small so the work is very manageable and it's a great pace to meet new people. The kitchen also serves as the common area so it was easy to get to know guests. The other volunteers were the best and made me feel so included from the start. Nelson was a great host and would always pick up the phone when I had any questions about the work and he made it a very chill working environment. Will really miss everyone at the hostel and will have to return! :)

I loved my month at the hostel! This was my first time volunteering and I would really recommend it. The work itself was easy to learn and quite light. Nelson and Rafa made me feel welcome and were always available to answer any questions. I would like to thank them, the other volunteers and guests at the hostel for making such a memorable experience. Truly a home away from home <3

The hostel has been a little family for me during this month. I have felt welcome, happy and grateful for this experience. It was my first time volunteering and I totally recommend it. If you are looking for a place to feel accompanied, travel to the surroundings and meet new people, this is your place. I can only say thank you for everything to Nelson and Rafa and i'm sure that I'll be back soon ❤️

I had a great time in Braga, the team is lovely! The city is very beautiful and has great sights in the area! We had a few problems with our room and Nelson tried very very hard to fix it. The rooms for the volunteers could be a little more comfortable and lovingly furnished. In general, the hostel lacks a cozy atmosphere, which is probably due to the age of the building. In October there was little going on and there was little work. In general, the work was very, very easy and fun. I would still recommend it (probably more in summer time) and I met really nice people there! Thanks you!

Nelson and Rafa are super nice and helpful. Shifts last 6.5 hours, but tasks are easy. Braga is a great place to volunture, because there is everything you need and at the same time is a very chill place to live. The location of Braga js perfect, because its very close to lovely Porto and other amazing places. Hostel is very small and its very easy to meet other travelers. As I said, Rafa and Nelson are super cool, but organization should be improved, especially at weekend when they dont work. Also, many things that are in hosts profile dont exist, so keep it in mind.

It was my first expirience volunteering and it was awesome. The shifts were six hours and a half which sometimes was tireing, but the job itself wasn't hard to do. The owner and the manager are really flexible with your free days so it's easy to do trips. What made my stay worth it was definetly the other volunteers and the people that i've met there. Braga has a spot in my heart now.

My 4th WP travel and I have mixed feelings towards it. The city's nice and the buses are cheap, so it's easy to visit other cities around! I met amazing people, but I wouldn't say it's a social place, there aren't common areas or events like most hostels. It's a very chill spot, not the best to get to know other travelers. I also think they promised things that weren't actually true, for ex the laundry isn't free and you don't actually work as a party promoter. If you're the kind of traveler that's very outgoing I believe that are better hostels for you, but if you just wanna chill it's good!
