The experience

As a volunteer, you will support painting and basic maintenance tasks around the hostel. Activities may include wall painting, small repairs, cleaning after maintenance work, organizing tools, and helping keep shared spaces in good condition. You will learn practical maintenance skills in a real hostel environment. No advanced skills required — reliability, attention to detail, and a positive attitude are essential.


What you offer

Building & Repairing: Help with a wide range of repairs or building.

Amount: € 25 Per day

Description: Volunteer Program – Participation Fee To join our volunteer program, a one-time fee of €25 applies. This fee helps ensure commitment and supports real costs related to onboarding, training, schedule coordination, staff time, and use of hostel facilities (common areas, kitchen, laundry, Wi-Fi, utilities). It is not for profit, but to keep the program fair, organized, and sustainable for everyone.

Requirements

Beginner Portuguese or Beginner English

Between 18 and 70 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Volunteers work 5 hours per day, usually in the morning, leaving afternoons free. Tasks are planned in advance and guided by the team. The daily routine balances hands-on work, learning, and free time to enjoy the beach, city, and hostel life.
