La Comarca was a very pleasant place to be for a couple of weeks, the place is beautiful and you get to meet lots of lovely volunteers. And Alex is a very accommodating host, he let me change my dates and go away for a night. I think the free surfboards is a bit misleading. There is only one and I didn't get to use it at all. As for work there is a schedule for some jobs but besides that I felt there was a lack of instruction with what to do. And there isn't much in the local area so in my free time I didn't have a lot to do because day trips elsewhere were fairly infrequent.

We had a wonderful time wile volunteering at La Comarca the lodge project. Alexander is a very nice host. Working hours are respected (+are very flexible) and he makes sure you enjoy your stay at the lodge. Keep in mind that La Comarca is still under construction. You'll have to help out in multiple ways. Alexander gives you task to complete and he will help you to learn all sorts of building and craftsman's skills. Alexander is open to new ideas and really appreciates it when you are proactive. Eric and Javièr (local employees ) are very nice and will help you a lot. We definitely recommend!

Staying at LA COMARCA was a truly life changing experience. Alexander is one of the nicest humans I've ever met. He's very respectful and understanding in regards to all kinds of problems. He really did his best to gave us volunteers most authentic experience in visiting the area and meeting locals. Alexander also gave us the opportunity to include our individual skills and preferences into the project and a lot of freedom about completing our tasks which made the whole experience very relaxing based off each others trust.

Alex y Marco dos genios. Desde el día uno La Comarca te abraza y te hace sentir parte de la familia. Las tareas son todas diversas pero sencillas, la carga de trabajo es mínima y las excursiones grupales son lo más bonito. Las idas al río después de trabajar suman mucho a la experiencia. Mi experiencia en La Comarca fue totalmente hermosa! Fue mi primer voluntariado y superó todas mis expectativas! Desde el primer segundo me sentí cómoda y acompañada. Fue como estar en casa! Cada comida y actividad fueron momentos de encuentro, charlas y compartir. El ambiente que crean Alex y Marco es de familia. Me llevo conmigo no solo una experiencia única sino también muy buenos amigos!! El lugar en si es soñado; recomiendo aprovechar cada lugarcito y conectar con la naturaleza. El río Naranjito es alucinante! Estoy totalmente agradecida con esta vivencia y volvería a ir mil veces más!

Nos quedamos dos semanas en La Comarca y la pasamos muy bien. El lugar es hermoso, rodeado de naturaleza, y el río es perfecto para relajarse y disfrutar del paisaje. Alex estuvo atento y con buena onda desde el día uno, y Marco ayuda en todo, siempre con buena energía y además cocina de manera increíble. Las tareas eran sencillas y flexibles, así que pudimos disfrutar del lugar con tranquilidad. Una experiencia muy recomendable, ¡nos fuimos con ganas de volver!

Si tuviese que describir La Comarca, diría que es un Paraíso. No tengo palabras para decirles lo feliz que me sentí estando en este voluntariado, estar rodeado de naturaleza, conociendo personas de diferentes partes del mundo, aprender sobre diferentes culturas, es una experiencia inolvidable, pero lo mas gratificante para mi fue sentirme como en casa y parte de una familia. Los Host Alex y Marco son super Tuanis! con un corazón noble y muy comprometidos con su proyecto. Las tareas son relativamente fáciles y la comida es deliciosa y siempre abundante. Pura Vida Chiquillos.

Nunca imaginé conocer muchas mentes maravillosas, Alex nuestro Host un eterno soñador con un lugar mágico y con todas las comodidades para sus voluntarios, mi equipo fue increíble y las tareas son fáciles de desarrollar y bueno el clima y el ambiente donde vivimos es de otro mundo. 🌍 Lo recomiendo muchísimo y gracias por todo. ✨🧚🏾‍♀️🌺

Este voluntariado fue increíble. Me quedé 1 mes y me senti cómo en mi casa. Que bueno tener el sentimiento que estás en una familia cuando viajas. Alex y Marco son muy buena ondas y divertido caballeros de Argentina. Conocte muy bien con ellos y sus buen acentos jaja. Las tareas son muy sencillas y divertidas. Hay 3 gallinas muy amable también que pueden llevar. Tenia buen conversación con ellas. La naturaleza tambien está loco buenísimo, muchos parajos salvajes amblematico de Costa Rica! Van a disfrutar ese lugar y todo sus voluntarios, es casi spiritual aca. Muyyy Tuaniiss chico!!
