Coming to work in the countryside was a challenge and I loved it marc and sophie are wonderful, super welcoming people who were a pleasure to work with. the setting is great, the bulgarian countryside is very calm and the people are very nice. The accommodation is great, the two little ones are so cute. marc, sophie and their daughter marianne showed us the beautiful country they decided to move to and I could only see good things in the way they talked about the country. it makes you want to stay there!

The experience was amazing, Sophie and Mark are super nice people who treated us perfectly. They let us 3 free days a week for visiting Bulgaria and also recommended us activities. We learned a lot working with them, and if we had any problema they always tried to help. I recommend the experience a lot.

-Sophie and Marc are marvellous, flexible, empathetic, open-minded, friendly... The work-time was the accorded, they helped us a lot (also organizing trips), Sophie cooks amazingly... -We've learnt many sustentable renovating skills. -Our house was beautiful and cute. It had a great balcony and a dishwasher (the only bad part was that there wasn't a WC, only a "letrin": similar to a hole on the floor) *And this isn't about volunteering, but we spent much money on transport and hostels (as it's a village, you can't come back on the same day) To sum Up: we're very thankfull, you're wonderful

I had absolutely the best time working for Sophie and Marc. They right away make you feel very welcome and accepted. They provide ingredients for breakfast and Sophie cooks delicious meals every night. They took me and another volunteer to visit Ledenika Cave and other tourist sights for free which was really amazing and for my birthday they took us to a restaurant and made it a very nice day for me. It's a little difficult to travel around Bulgaria since the village is so remote but it is possible if you want to maybe stay the weekend somewhere else. I recommend this experience to everyone 🩷

Truly wonderful! You will feel like you're a part of the family and not just a helper. Sophie and Marc made me feel so so comfortable on my first Worldpacker experience!!! Their feedback was always respectful and constructive, it was great to work together as a team on the "destroyed paradise" ;) And the food is soooo good too!!!!

My stay with Sophie and Marc was really a surprise to me: since day 1, they let me in their house and welcomed me in the best way possible. I immediately felt home. Volunteering in this part of Bulgaria was a total immersion in nature (so prepare yourself to adapt to “uncomfortable” situations). I, 100%, recommend these hosts and this place.

I really felt like I was part of the family! I learned a lot about ecology and recycling, as well as learning more about the Bulgarian culture. This place is a complete immersion in nature, in a small and quiet little village. The hosts were incredibly nice and understanding. 100% recommend!

Fue mi primera experiencia con worldpackers y fue increible, Sophie y Marc me recibieron con mi hijo con los brazos abiertos, nos sentimos como en casa, cuidar de sus mascotas fue hermoso, son unos animalitos muy tiernos. El entorno fue mágico, amamos el lugar, la casa, la rutina que establecimos durante el tiempo de estancia, la amabilidad de marc y sophie y por supuesto de su hija. Mi hijo tuvo la experiencia de poder expresarse en otro idioma y empezar a sostener conversaciones, lo cual es increíble. Solo tengo palabras de agradecimiento para sophie y marc, los llevo en mi corazón.
