The experience
Join Wanderframe as a street photographer with One Shot Pixels in Lombok. Capture vibrant streets, local markets, architecture, and cultural moments to help grow the community’s Instagram and digital presence. Volunteers will document daily life ethically, creating visuals that celebrate Lombok’s urban charm, support local culture, and contribute to long-term storytelling.
What you offer
20 hours of help per week
Content Writer:
Write, edit and publish inspiring content.
Photography:
Take, edit and provide amazing photos.
Video Making:
Create, edit and publish digital videos.
Social Media:
Maintain and update social media channels.
What you get
3 days off per week
Private Room:
You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.
Requirements
Beginner English or Beginner French
Between 18 and 40 years old
Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers
Be from outside Indonesia

Activities & Shift
Core Activities
Capture vibrant street scenes, local markets, architecture, and cultural moments
Document community events, artisans, and daily life (with consent)
Curate and select visuals for One Shot Pixels’ Instagram and digital campaigns
Participate in creative briefings, workshops, and feedback sessions
Daily Shifts
Morning Shift (07:00 – 11:00)
Best light for streets, markets, and architectural shots
Explore bustling areas for dynamic street photography
Midday Break (11:00 – 14:00)
Rest, backup files, light editing, and interact with locals
Optional workshops or creative discussions
Afternoon Shift (14:00 – 18:00)
Golden hour photography in streets, waterfronts, and urban landscapes
Capture local artisans, cultural moments, and candid portraits
Notes
Shifts may adjust depending on local events or weather
Volunteers may work independently or in small groups
No night photography required
Safety, consent, and respect for the community are top priorities
Rules
Respect the Community
Always ask for consent before photographing people or private spaces. Locals are partners, not subjects.
Follow Ethical Photography Guidelines
No staged scenes, misrepresentation, or exploitation of people, culture, or environment.
Use Your Own Equipment Responsibly
Bring and manage your camera gear safely, especially in marine and shared spaces.
Protect Marine Life & Nature
Do not touch or damage coral, disturb wildlife, or leave litter on land or in water.
Safety Comes First
Follow instructions from local guides and marine coordinators, particularly during snorkeling, diving, and boat activities.
Respect Cultural Norms
Dress appropriately and follow local customs at all times.
Image Usage Agreement
Selected photos will be shared with the community and Wanderframe for non-commercial use. Photographers retain credit.
Professional Conduct
Be punctual, communicate clearly, and treat fellow volunteers, staff, and locals with respect.
No Alcohol or Substance Use During Activities
Volunteers must remain fully aware and responsible during all fieldwork.
Follow Local Coordination
Final decisions in the field are made by local facilitators and Wanderframe coordinators.
