I had a great time volunteering at Yellow Sun! The work is super chill, although end up being ‘on shift’ for more than 32 hours a week, the time passes quickly and often it doesn’t even feel like you’re working. The accommodation isn’t great but you don’t spend too much time in there, mostly in the main bar which is amazing and a great opportunity to socialise. All of the staff are super nice and made me feel welcomed right away. Would’ve spent longer if I could’ve!

I really enjoy my time in Koh Rong. It was a great experience and so nice to meet everyone on the team. I really recommend this Volonteering, especially if you like to be surrounded people or to party. The beach is also stunning and the hostel super chill.

My time at yellow sun and working with Jonny, Conner, Seth and all the other volunteers was an unforgettable experience. We were well taken care of with 2 meals provided and an easy schedule. Even when some of us had personal trouble we were given support. This was the perfect place to be in a chill, paradise like environment, that gives you the opportunity to explore Koh rong. Also some wild parties. So if you can handle your drink I think there’s a good balance at yellow sun. I’m extremely grateful to have worked here and with the boys. Thank you for everything

My two week stay at yellow sun was mostly positive!! Working behind the bar was fun and really easy. The other volunteers were really lovely and at least two people worked at a time. The shifts are quite long but you are very flexible in choosing a shift that is good for you. The food was amazing! Veggie options and mostly big portions:) The volunteers sleep in a wooden hut with fan and mosquito net, which I really didn’t mind :) Critique: I didn’t really feel an exchange/good communication with the owner, sometimes weird comments about doing something wrong etc made me feel unwelcomed!

Hostel is located on a great spot near the beach. The local staff and the owner were super nice and made the experience unforgettable . Fairly easy work had a great time with the other volunteers.
