Yayasan Taman Widya Kumara-Program Near Ubud Village

A place where teaching and learning is a comfortable, well-organized, and resource-rich environment that supports interaction, creativity, and focus. It should have adequate lighting, minimal distractions, access to learning tools (like books, technology, or whiteboards), and flexible seating to support different activities and learning styles. Such a space encourages collaboration, curiosity, and active participation. So be our member you do need to have teaching experience and we accept people from many different countries, native or non natives with many different accent and you can conduct your lesson in many different ways, through sport, art, craft, music and singing activities.

We are non profit organization that gives free English classes to Balinese kids around the village of the school. I am the host and the volunteer coordinator will be ready to assist you and the local teacher will be there as well.

I highly recommend this place. My experience was amazing I truly have nothing negative to say. Novia is always attentive and supportive. She and her husband pick you up from the airport and arrange accommodation in a lovely Pondok near the school and home, which is also very warm and comfortable.
At the school, Novia works together with Mega, who is also very helpful, and there are usually around 20 children on average. The kids are simply incredible — they completely stole my heart.
If you really want to contribute and help, don’t hesitate to come. It’s a truly special experience.

I had a great time here. The teachers and children are so kind and respectful, and the staff and family in homestay are also really friendly and nice.
The school and homestay are close to Ubud Central, so it was easy to go out. I enjoyed yoga classes and surfing whenever I wanted.
I felt welcome the whole time and made wonderful memories. Special thanks to Novia. she supported me with everything I needed.
I would love to join this volunteer program again if I have a chance. Thank you so much for everything.

Novia (host), Megan (local teacher), and the Balinese Children are the wonderful people you will interact with at the after-school learning center.
Mia and her 3-generations of family members will be the hospitable people to interact with at the Guesthouse.
Monday-Thursday (3 pm to 5 pm) are the teaching hours at the learning center. At all other times, you would be free to create your own schedule. The learning center and the guesthouse are in the same neighborhood.
Novia, Megan, and Mia speak good English, so communication is going to be a breeze.

I absolutely loved my time volunteering. I had originally booked 2 weeks but extended to 3 after a couple of days. Novia and Mega were great to work with and do an incredible job at the school. The kids are amazing and extremely respectful and the homestay was great too. Only a short bike ride into Ubud centre. Working at the school from 2.30-5.30pm and having Fri-Sun off meant there was loads of personal time to travel and see different areas. Would definitely recommend to everyone!
