The students are the school were very kind and welcoming, as well as eager to learn.

My stay was comfortable, me and another volunteer shared a room with a bathroom and it was perfect. Mirijula, the hosts wife, was the highlight of my experience.

An important note is there is no reception / wifi at the hosts property. Also I experienced some problems with the host myself, however the rest of the experience was amazing and I would recommend. We worked around 5/6 days a week. Also the location is quite remote with not much opportunity to explore elsewhere.

This is my second time volunteering at Vivekananda Vidhyalaya, and each visit teaches me something new. Surrounded by nature and welcomed by kind, warm-hearted children, the experience is always refreshing. I highly recommend this place to anyone interested in teaching children in a peaceful and inspiring environment.

I stayed at Vivekananda Vidyalaya from August 25 to September 4. Though I arrived a week earlier than planned, Mr. Nilakanta warmly welcomed me, offered accommodation, and assigned meaningful tasks.

The school is a community-building institution promoting education, health, and cleanliness among students and villagers.

The students, staff, founder and principal Mr. Nilakanta, his wife, and son Jagmohan created such a warm environment that I felt deeply connected with them. I would love to return soon to contribute further to their mission.

Warm regards,

I had an amazing experience at Vivekananda Vidyalaya. It is the best place for perfect cultural immersion. The host Nilakanta sir and his family especially his wife treated me very well. The people there were so kind and welcoming. Waking up to the sounds of birds, in a peaceful and calm environment is a beautiful experience. I met so many people here, and I really had a great time.
Because of a miscommunication, I got down at the wrong place instead of reaching the host's place, and understanding my situation, the host immediately arranged his friend to pick me up.
Overall, it was great.

I had a truly amazing time in Majuli. The people were incredibly sweet and always ready to help. Their warmth and kindness really made it a wholesome experience. I felt like I was at home.

The kids in the school were very sweet and eager to learn. The experience of teaching children has taught me a lot about myself too. Every day I used to look forward to go to school.

The host Mr. Nilkanta Pegu and his family truly welcoming. They took care of me and treated me like family. I got to experience their festival as well. I have made friends for life.
