Vila Josephine
We offer authentic hospitality in a historic villa near Lake Bled.
Constructed over a century ago by our great-grandmother Josephine, it once operated as a boutique hotel. Now, with the villa’s rich history, we are reviving her dream of hosting guests and providing an authentic experience in Bled.
Our villa is protected as national cultural heritage and ranks among the residential buildings closest to the lake and the castle. It’s just a three minute walk to the lake and you have a wonderful close view at the castle from our garden.
Situated in a traditional neighbourhood full of villas, our home stands at the very centre of the town. It’s close to the bus station, hospital, school, supermarket. You'll also find cafes, restaurants, shops and spas within walking distance.
The apartments provide contemporary comfort, while preserving authentic architecture and materials, such as high ceiling, original wooden floor and double casement windows that provide a lot of natural light.
My name is Simon. I am a native from Bled. A photographer by profession, I used to live in São Paulo, Brasil for almost 20 years. I am now returning to my roots - to the house where I spent my childhood.
I am dedicated to preserving a family's legacy. Over a century ago, my great-grandmother Josephine built this villa and founded hospitality business all by herself. Today, I am proud to revive her visionary dream.
In my free time I love to go to the woods, climb mountains or take a break at the sea. As a photographer, I travel a lot all around the world and love to have contact with foreigners, their cultures and their languages.
