Urbany Hostel is located in Notting Hill, a short walk to see the beautiful Portobello Market and Hyde Park. We have plenty of bus stops into the party area of the city as well as 3 major tube/train lines only a 5 minute walk away. Lots of supermarkets, fast foods and shops located near us also! You cannot beat our location.
Our beautiful townhouse hostel was built in the 1800s; it is 4 stories/floors, with a large kitchen, outdoor terrace, lounge room and dining room. We have a work hard, play hard mentality; for those who enjoy the perfect balance between party, relax and work. As a sociable group; we like to interact, party and hang out with not only each other but with our guests. We are an open minded community, providing a safe and comfortable space. I had such an amazing experience at Urbany, i ended up extending for 2 more weeks! The work is quite easy, and you have 3 days off a week with plenty of free time. The location is great, we would spend most of our time in hyde park (5min away) or going thrifting, to coffee shops etc. I got sick one day and everyone was so helpful and understanding, covering my shift and bringing me food!! The community aspect was my favorite thing, from brushing our teeth together, to getting ready before a night out or watching movies, i always felt at home! Thank you for everything I love you and miss you❤️

I had the very best time at Urbany!! I felt super welcomed by other volunteers and staff and the atmosphere in the hostel was perfect. There are social activities every day, which makes it easy to meet people and explore London as well. Time went by super quick and I can't believe a month is already over. The people became family and I'm super thankful for this past month! Thank you so much for everything!

Leah and the whole team at Urbany made my experience truly unforgettable. It definitely is a lot of socialization but there was not a day I didn’t have fun or met incredible new people from all over the world. The other volunteers and guests were amazing and so nice to get to know. The hostel is well kept and clean and the responsibilities are clearly outlined and not too much. It was really amazing having so many social events and free dinners through the hostel to bond with other staff members and guests. I won’t ever forget my experience here and I was so sad to leave.

I had a great time volunteering at Urbany! The staff were super welcoming and made me feel at home right away. The work was exactly as described, and I especially enjoyed running the walking tours and helping out with the parties. It’s a fun, social environment and a great place to meet new people and make friends. Would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a good hostel volunteering experience!
