TUMAINI FOUNDATION

We are a local organization thriving to grow to become a blessing to many lives.
We are trustworthy and ethical.
We are the only organization including the disabled children in our community.
We also work side by side with the community and government.

My name is Tumaini ,its a Swahili word which means HOPE. I'm fighting for the life i was once a survivor, I'm here to be the hand of support to the children going through the hard situations of life like i was. I'm working for the children of Tanzania and will always do that. Focusing on SAFETY, EMPOWERMENT AND QUALITY EDUCATION. For me i believe that the power and energy put together can bring a change. I also believe in the power of a MINUTE. in just a minute, something can change. You are welcome so that we can all together love!

Tumaini has such a big heart. I feel truly blessed to have met everyone at the foundation-children, women, Mr. Isaac, social workers, Jasper and of course Tumaini. Everyone welcomed me warmly making me feel at home. Their work in a spirit of imece(collective effort)is inspiring. This was my first time in Africa and first Worldpackers project. Even alone i felt safe and supported. Locals notice you but always respectfully. Tumaini made me feel like family she is gentle and beautiful soul. I hope to return one day much longer.Sending love and gratitude to everyone. My heart is always with you ❤️

My experience at the Tumaini Foundation was very fun! We shared a lot of laughter, stories and emotions. Tumaini always wanted to make us feel comfortable and welcomed! Being part of this unusual family was a mindopening experience for me! We could dive into many different areas of the community, through school- and homevisits , gardening (for selfconsumption and selling plants to sustain the orphanage). The place gave me the chance to improve my farming skills along my social and culture awareness and just grow in general as a person(unlike our chinese cabbage R.I.P.)
Ahsante sana everyone!
