We are a quite happy and comfortable hostel...very central located 5 in walk to the main square in a quiet neighbour hood.You will be able to meet other travelers, hang out, have a good time, and exchange travel stories and tips,this is done best in a comfy and cozy environment that invites travelers to hang out

staff is friendly and happy people..we try to make volunteers feel at home and give them as much as free time to see the country,explore,and get a feel of the culture... and of course enjoy their stay at our hostel

I really enjoyed my time volunteering at the Golden Rooster. Franc is very welcoming and accommodating. The other volunteers were great and the tasks were straight forward. Having 3 days off in a row gives you more than enough time to explore the rest of Albania!

The golden rooster has been my favourite volunteer experience! Franc is great, he stays in contact right front he start and organises social activities for the volunteers and guests while there. The other volunteers made this experience and the work was fair with plenty of time to take trips to see more of Albania.

Frank is a great host. He always very clear about schedule and communication was very easy with him.
The work hours have times of the day that is very calm. So, there are peaks of activities and then is calm. So you don’t work non stop or at high pace with heavy work for long periods.
The 3 days off is great to you to explore the city or focus on your personal tasks.
The location is amazing. It’s near of main attractions and close to public transportation.
The hostel atmosphere is very friendly and, the volunteers I worked with were super collaborative and welcoming.

I had a great time volunteering here. The host is super friendly and really good at communicating, so the tasks and responsibilities were always clear. He also sets up lots of spaces and activities that help everyone (volunteers and guests) connect and have fun together. The role is pretty flexible too, which makes it easy to find a good balance and enjoy the experience.
