Teiku Community

Teiku is an eco-spiritual village.

We are building a community and home for people who want
to connect with nature and live with nature, breathe fresh air,
eat fresh food from the earth and drink pure
water from the mountains.

It is a home for people who wish to learn and work
the earth, connect with the plants,
get engaged and learn the local culture & knowledge from
the tribes ( Kogui & Arahuacos ), develop, relax,
feel and simply live to come together and share ourselves.

Teiku is a family :) We live togather, we eat togather, we hace sharing circle every week. Teiku is the ancient name of the spirit of this mountain we are living in. In the Koguis language - Spirit of abundance, knowledge and caregiving.

I spent a wonderful 2.5 weeks at Teiku and would have stayed longer if it wasn’t for my other travel plans. The community is so open and genuinely cares so much about each person’s well being. Come to Teiku if you want to live purposefully, connect with nature and community members, and dig deep within yourself. Teiku also has a very special relationship with the indigenous communities in the area which was beautiful to witness. I learned so much here and could not recommend Teiku more and hope to one day return to this truly special place. Thank you for everything!

I had a great time at Teiku, it was only for two weeks, but I wish it would have been longer. The people staying at Teiku were all great. It's a social place but you can also take time for yourself. There are a lot of nice spots nearby and the place itself is beautiful. There were different tasks you could choose to do every day. I wanted to learn about permaculture, and I was sad to leave because I would have liked to learn more! Thanks everyone for making Teiku a beautiful place, hope to come back one day.

I stayed for 2 weeks in Teiku. It was an amazing experience. I felt the most connection to Mother Earth. Everybody was friendly and welcoming, I hurt my foot whilst at there and everyone was very caring and adapted tasks for me so I could still join in. I learnt a lot about permaculture from Steve who is a very inspirational man. I really hope to visit again in the future and do the permaculture course.
