Taspinar Village Farm

I am currently running a fundraising campaign to renovate an old stone house on my farm. This house will be transformed into a cozy guesthouse for volunteers who share our passion for organic and sustainable farming. I invite all supporters to share, and spread the word about this.. Your support will help create a welcoming space for volunteers and contribute to a more sustainable future.
If you’d like to support the project, it would mean so much to me! ask me for the link
Thank you for being part of this journey! ❤
Update: I've started the renovation . Two French, two German, one Brasilian and two Turkish volunteers have helped me for the renovation, so far. I still need help of volunteers who knows building or renovating a stone house. On the other hand I need help with farming. An extra helping hand is always appreciated.
We can teach all kinds of farm experiences, communal living and an introduction to local history and culture. We can teach how to make cheese, yogurt, vinegar, jam etc. The most unique experience will be to see relatively simple life in a traditional mid-size agriculture-oriented Aegean town away from mass tourism and bigger cities. One of my goals is to get the guest to plant a tree to protect nature. You will have two days off every week. You can always reach other well-known locations a few hours away like Dikili or Ayvalık. We sometimes go hiking around the local hills and forest . If you're keen to cultural and touristic destinations such as Ephesus, Pergamum, Pamukkale, Assos or Troy etc. we can have a chance to visit them on our off days.

We have one shared room for volunteers. Also if you have camping tents, this is perfect for staying. We are not vegan, but we cook vegetable meals mostly. Our bathroom and kitchen are available for all guests. There is a washing machine for the laundry.

This place is perfect for immersing yourself in local culture, learning organic farming, and appreciating the work behind it. The tasks were varied—some heavy, some easy—but always fulfilling. Discuss the schedule if you work remotely, as activities are spread throughout the day. Özgür is passionate and inspiring in the way he cares for the farm, and he and his parents cook delicious meals. A warm hug to the whole family (and the animals). And if you go, bring Anne some flowers.

During my time volunteering at the farm I truly felt welcomed into Ozgur and his family's home. I learned a lot about sustainable and organic farming as well as what makes it so important yet challenging. Some of the highlights for me were getting to experience a local village gathering and attend a wedding celebration. The food is delicious and its rewarding to see the fruits of your labor.

I didn't expect to become so attached to Ozgur, his family, and the farm! This stay allowed me to learn more about the local culture, farming and sustainability, but also about myself. The environment is very peaceful, a paradise for nature lovers (especially cats)! I ate very well (even as a vegetarian), with products almost exclusively from the garden, and I quickly felt at home. I am truly grateful to Ozgur and his parents for their warm welcome. I will not forget this wonderful stay and hope to come back one day 🫶🏻
