Swadharini Permaculture Homestead and Sustainability Experience Center (searchable on GPS)

The farm is a relatively new one and offers a lot of opportunity to get your hands dirty -- whether practicing permaculture design and practices or participating in natural building projects, there is a lot to be done. The property is right next to a forest and with a beautiful view of the Sahayadri ranges of the Western Ghats. It is a quiet place with plenty of area to go for walks, cycle and spend time with yourself. The nearest village is 2 kms from here, nearest river is 9 minutes and trails and treks 15 minutes from here.

I live on the farm with my 14 year old son and 3 dogs. There is a couple from a nearby village who help around the farm and with household chores. You can expect to be treated equally and with care. You'll eat whatever we eat and share our living space and fully equipped kitchen.

Amazing experience!
Anu the host is a wonderful person. She welcomed me warmly into her home and made me feel like family. She has excellent English and, combined with her interesting life, this makes her a real conversationalist.
The farm was great, it was my first time to experience farming culture. I planted crops, built fences to protect them, painted, plastered walls and practically engaged in many tasks that I have never done before. Also the seeds I planted in my first day sprouted in my last! It was very enchanting.
I strongly recommend this to everyone who loves nature :)

I had the best time at Anu's Fram. The hospitality was the best, she was so kind and generous. We worked hard together to improve her farm, I could actually feel like I'm taking part in developing the place. I would recommend this place to anyone to would want to get on touch with nature and farming, who is willing to work with the hands and learning about the local life and culture by actually experiencing it. Anu thank you so much for everything🙏
