So Young Hostel
If you're motivated and like dealing with hostel administration during your stay in a quiet and friendly environment that's the place to be.
We're two brothers running this hostel in Heraklion city center. We are both working during summer season and other people as well. As we looking for volunteers to help us with our family business we are expecting people who are interested in hospitality and always happy to improve skills and let us know about ideas You will be treated as a family member. Everyone is welcome. We expect the same from you by letting us know your needs and special requests you might have, before arriving.

I really enjoyed my stay at so young hostel! I want to thank Yorgis and Maria for their attention to communication and to make us feel at home. The low season flow of guests allowed us to work in a relaxed environment. The tasks were super easy and clear. Σας ευχαριστώ και πάλι, ελπίζω να επιστρέψω σύντομα

I spent three great weeks at So Young Hostel. Since it was low season, the work was very relaxed. In the mornings there was more to do, like making beds, but at night it was mostly waiting for late check-ins or serving drinks at the chill bar. The hostel is well located in the city center, but to get to the beaches it’s better to take a bus. I volunteered with two other girls, which made the experience even better. I gave it five stars because I would definitely go back, maybe during a busier time of the year.

I loved my month in Crete and would 100% recommend volunteering at So Young!! The hostel is super clean, cozy, and right in the heart of Heraklion. You’ll quickly feel like a local.
Yorgos and Maria are incredibly kind and welcoming. Yorgos genuinely cares about the volunteers and made sure our shifts were flexible so we had plenty of time to explore the island. The work was chill and easy, and I shared a room with the other volunteer, which was perfect!
If you’re considering volunteering in Crete, I can’t recommend So Young enough! Thank you for an unforgettable month — efharisto!

It was my first experience with Worldpackers volunteering, i highly recommand So young Hostel. The staff is amazing :) i will trully miss them : Yorgos, Maria, Karolina & Natasza were very welcoming. The tasks are easy to do & my schedule was very nice, doing mostly night shift :)

I absolutely loved my time at So Young Hostel! The owners are incredibly lovely, and the staff are wonderful. I had no problems communicating with team members during my time here and the accommodation was comfortable :) The room doesn’t have very good air circulation though so was a bit warm (they worked to help with this) and there aren’t any lockers :,) Hours are flexible and fair! The beds themselves were comfortable and the hostel had plenty of clean sheets and towels available! Thank you to the So Young Team!
