Santander Central Hostel
Our hostel is the perfect opportunity to spend some time for free in one of the most beautiful cities in Spain.
The hostel has been opened for 6 seasons now... and we areprobably the most authentic "backpacker" hostel in town... We want to keep the sense of adventure because we are backpackers ourselves... and we still love it !!!
My name is Angel. I am a hospitality manager with many years of international experience. Our hostel pretends to be a relaxing place for those who need a rest while enjoying this fantastic city. The working environment at the hostel is quite relaxed. Volunteers are part of our family, and as part of a family we do care for each other. We are a team that takes care of our guests in a sincere way. Do you want to be part of it? :)

My time at the hostel has been lovely. Angel and Andrea were very welcoming from the beginning, making every effort to help us feel comfortable and at home. They’re always open to listening to any concerns or complaints you have, and they often give advice and recommendations for the city to enjoy your stay as much as you can.
The schedule is very fair and clearly communicated and it allows for a lot of free time to explore santander. I’m grateful for my time with the hostel💛 I would stay longer if I could.

My experience here was absolutely fantastic! The hostel itself has a great vibe, social but chill, and the location is perfect. Angel and Andrea - the staff, are incredibly kind people who made me feel right at home. I'll never forget the amazing people I got to meet here, and I'll for sure return to Santander. Thank you for everything!

La señorita "Klarita" has been amazing in every single way. Always smiling, ready to help and a lovely constant desire to learn and improve her Spanish (which by the way... is excellent) I really wish you the best of everything for the new challenges that you will be facing soon. Had the best time at SCH! Very nice and welcoming hostel, with Angel and Andrea being great! They were always there for a chat or if I needed anything! Would recommend and will be back

This was my first experience and I was lucky to go there. Angel is quite an emotional person but he was always trying to help us with whatever we needed. He has a great sense of humor. The hostel is very clean and cozy place and our room was charming. The tasks were easy with clear schedule. It wasn't a busy month but I had the opportunity to meet and talk to travelers from various cultures. I was with tree other sweet volunteer girls who contributed to my well spent time. Santander for me was really unexpected destination but it turned to be the best decision to go there. I am so grateful!

My stay in Santander was great and a once in a lifetime experience. I got along super well with everyone there and learned a lot about the Spanish culture.
The tasks were fairly easy and self-explanatory, but some others took more responsibility than I had expected, which was a bit overwhelming at first, but also got me out of my comfort zone! Angel is a good boss, who's flexible and chill but can also be assertive when it's needed. The volunteer room is quite cozy and, even though it doesn't have a window, Angel is doing his best to make you feel comfortable and at home. Would recommend!

Magdalena has been part of the volunteer team in October... I really enjoyed meeting you Magda. You are a noble, responsible, charmingly absent-minded person with a great spirit.
