Restoring wooden boats on magical island

Well Bornholm is, with good reason, called the Pearl of the Baltic. Nature is amazing here and offers great hikes and sights. If we will not join you while exploring we will love to point you in the right direction.

I have travelled a lot myself and have used services like this on multiple different occasions: Hawaii, Poland, Ireland and so on, so I know how it feels to be on adventurous trips and I have felt how valuable nice hosts are. I will do everything I can to give you an experience of a lifetime.

Working on the boats was an amazing and unique experience! The tasks were pretty simple and enjoyable. Toby was a great host: he made sure we were comfortable during our whole stay, he was very helpful when we needed anything and he gave us directions for our work without micromanaging us. I would highly recommend this worldpackers opportunity to anyone looking to gain experience in boat restoration! Tak, Toby, for denne fantastiske oplevelse!

I had a beautiful time during this project🥰
Toby is a great host and I felt welcomed the moment I arrived. He has a big heart and helps wherever it is needed. While working he was always there to join us and explained everything so it was easy to understand the tasks and working together was always fun. Living on a boat was also a great experience that I really enjoyed and Bornholm is a beautiful island which I loved to explore with the other volunteers. I met very nice and friendly people that I already miss❤️
In conclusion I would really recommend this experience😊

It was a true pleasure to work with Toby in Bornholm on his antique boats! I absolutely loved my stay- some of the work was hard but overall very entertaining- especially if you enjoy painting/sandpapering :P During my stay the weather was a bit chilly (to be expected in April), and unfortunately, since it is not the busy season many things are closed near the harbor... so expect a lot of cold downtime. The boat however, stays cozy at every hour of the day. Would definitely recommend for those looking for an interesting work exchange :):)
