It was fantastic. Everything about Pitlochry is amazing, and volunteering at the Pitlochry Backpackers give you the brilliant opportunity to explore the area and get to know locals and visitors alike.

I’m truly grateful for this experience. From the very first day, I felt so welcomed. The atmosphere is relaxed, the hours are fair, and the work is well organized.
The hostel is cozy and beautifully decorated, with a homely vibe that makes you feel at ease right away.

But what really makes this place special is the people. There’s such a warm, positive energy here. We often share meals, do activities together, and enjoy the beautiful walks nearby.
Also, Katie and Derek are wonderful managers kind, patient, and genuinely caring.
It’s been such a lovely time, wishing to come back soon ✨️

Had an amazing experience at the Pitlochry Backpackers, a great place for your first try at Worldpackers. The work was simple and the hours never went over, as well as all the volunteers happy to help each other out. Katie, Derek and the other volunteers were all very welcoming and it definitely made the experience one to remember.
We had a lot of fun doing movie nights and going out as a group.
Pitlochry is a great location, with the train station very close to the hostel for your days off. There are also a lot of beautiful walks and scenery. Would recommend it to anyone.

I loved my time in Pitlochry. Katie, Derek, Jo and Rich are all super lovely, welcoming and helpful. Hours are respected and there’s a good culture of helping each other out. Pitlochry is beautiful and there’s close access to hikes, shops and the train station for day trips.

The volunteers were all friendly and we’d do trips, run activities, have family dinners and go to the pub together.

I would also absolutely recommend the Scottish dance classes run by Linda, everyone there is very friendly and the classes are fun.
