Pagna Cambodian Education Fund

At PCEF, we provide free English education for children in rural Cambodia. Our mission is to empower the next generation through knowledge and opportunities, offering a brighter future as we work towards breaking the cycle of poverty.
Joining PCEF school will grant you access to an authentic experience of life in Cambodia. You will live in a rural area with a local family that runs the school, experiencing the countryside village lifestyle. As a teacher, you will learn how we teach English in Cambodia. It will also give you the opportunity to share your knowledge with our students. Your help will serve a useful purpose by supporting unprivileged children to receive a better education.
Our school is 25km away from Siem Reap, the second biggest city in Cambodia where you can visit Angkor Wat a UNESCO world heritage! And many other things we would have the pleasure of talking about.

We currently have six permanent teachers who will help you during each class (you will not be on your own). You can observe the way they create their classes on the first day, so in the following classes you can assemble your own courses or decide to follow the given textbook. If you want to see the day-to-day in our school… here is our Instagram account: @pcefschool https://instagram.com/pcefschool?igshid=OGQ5ZDc2ODk2ZA==

I stayed 10 days at Pagna School and it was amazing.
The classes are well programmed, and there is a cambodian teacher always helping.
The food is very good and cooked by the family.
You have time for yourself, time to be with the family and to explore the suroundings of the village.

Good experience.

I had a really great time during my volunteer project. The kids are incredibly sweet and make it very easy to settle in, even if you have no prior teaching experience.

The food was super delicious, and usually, each volunteer has their own room :).

I would definitely recommend the project to others. But keep in mind that the school is located in a small Village which is a nice experience to learn about the local way of living but there isn‘t much to do. Also, keep in mind that there’s no running water and no air conditioning, so it can get very hot.

We were really lucky to have Sarah as a volunteer teacher!
she worked really hard for improving the English knowledge of student. Audrey loves children and knows how to speak to them to get their attention. She stayed with my family, she was always polite and helpful.

We hope we will meet you again someday!

Diogo was a fantastic volunteer, He really made a special connection with our family and the kids at the school. The kids continued to ask where you were even after you left. Their teaching was excellent and we are always here when you want to return. Seeing them having a good time at our school was so good.

Thank you for your time helping us and our doors are always open to having you back.
Best of luck for the future.

I had an amazing experience teaching at PCEF! Thank you from the bottom of my heart Pagna and Saivong, all your family, and all the lovely kids. It was such a rewarding experience. The energy and enthusiasm of the children were contagious. I had the opportunity of teaching with another volunteer (lots of love Anna ^^). I will cherish every moment of this volunteering. And I will always remember the high-fives, the laughter, and playing with the kids in the courtyard. I would recommend this opportunity 100,000 times over!

My volunteer experience teaching was amazing. The food and accommodation were excellent, and the host was very friendly. The Wi-Fi was great, making it ideal for anyone working remotely. The students were also very welcoming, and I had the chance to meet many international volunteers. Three meals a day were provided, and the entire experience was truly fabulous.
