"I live in a magnificent location in Puglia, less than 2 km from the beaches of Torre Borraco, and 800 meters from one of the hills of the Mediterranean maquis, particularly ideal for nature lovers who still manage to escape the environmental impact caused by humans in recent decades. If you are a calm person who loves simple things, I think you will like this place.
During my leisure hours, I dedicate myself to preparing meals for guests. Given my extensive experience as a chef in various international locations, I often involve guests who express interest in culinary pursuits."

"I escaped the city a few years ago after living there for over twenty years. I wanted to get away from it all and enjoy some peace and quiet in nature. I spend my days doing little maintenance jobs like painting, gardening, taking care of the trees, and harvesting olives, capers, and figs, depending on the season. Recently, I've started building a dry stone wall. I choose my working hours based on the weather; these days, I prefer the afternoon when the sun is less strong. I have a room with four beds for single travelers and a double room for couples. Guests are asked to keep their room and the common areas clean and tidy. Occasionally, I organize little outings like going to the market or taking walks nearby. I have a few bikes, lots of books, and even a small internet connection."

Nico treated me like family, and I couldn’t be more grateful! The house is just a few kilometers from the beach by bike and surrounded by beautiful nature (and cats). I learned so many delicious recipes, and how to play Scopa :D It was an enriching experience that I will carry in my heart forever!

It was an incredible experience; I was able to get out of my comfort zone and learn so many new things. And let's not forget Nicola, who is an incredible host with a big heart, who is very kind and always ready to listen! I'll never forget the three weeks I spent in Manduria !! <3

I had a lovely time. For a metropolitan boy like me it was quite an experience to spend time in the countryside. The beach is near and very beautiful. I was also able to visit Lecce. Nico is a very kind person you can have good conversations with. He even took us to a village festivity and he prepares delicious food. The work was a bit tough but still alright. I would recommend staying there and bring sunscreen with you!

I was volenteering at Nico's place for a month and I couldn't have asked for a better experience! The work is flexible and changing, food was delicious and the location is simply perfect for a remote getaway and getting in contact with nature. Nico is an amazing host, incredible chef and someone you definitely want to share a chat with:). For anyone looking to escape the city rush and connect with nature's this experience will not disappoint!
