Orquídeas Marthita
Our house is located at the entrance of the amazon rainforest, rounded of waterfalls, rivers, caverns, nature. You could have the opportunity to see different species of orchid, somo of them are bigger that a hand, some are so small that you need a magnifier, some smell a lot that you could find them only smelling them.
My mom loves her plants (orchids, bromelias, heliconias, etc.) and I to meet new people from all over the world. We would like to know more about your country and culture and we would love to share our time to improve your spanish if you need it.

El lugar es cómodo y acogedor, Martha es una persona amable y generosa. Durante mi estancia pude ayudar con el cuidado de las plantas, algo que me encantó porque vi muchas florecer y pude pasar tiempo rodeada de naturaleza. Recomiendo este voluntariado si buscan un lugar tranquilo y con ambiente hogareño :)

Una experiencia maravillosa. El lugar es bellísimo. Marta nos recibió con mucho amor y ternura. Es de esos lugares que dan tanto gusto estar que cuesta tomar otros rumbos. La ubicación de la casa te permite conocer Puyo, es un vecindario tranquilo y de personas muy amables. Estar aquí me hizo extrañar un poco menos mí hogar. Gracias Marta. Te extrañaremos a ti, a Grau y Max muchísimo.

Nuestra experiencia voluntariando con Martha fue excelente, su amabilidad y calidez humana realmente te hacen sentir como en casa desde el primer día. Es un ambiente familiar y tranquilo que le recuerda al viajero que siempre se puede encontrar un hogar momentáneo. Hicimos algunas tareas de jardinería cuando el clima lo permitió, además de colaborar en tareas domésticas de limpieza en general y ayudar a Martha con lo que precisara. La casa es cómoda y nos trataron siempre muy bien, sin duda lo recomiendo y volveríamos. Gracias por recibirnos y compartir con nosotros 🫂

Martha and her family are lovely. We are from the UK and don’t speak Spanish so communicating was a little difficult - I would recommend speaking Spanish to do this volunteer placement. The house is very cosy and we had a private room. The gardening tasks are easy, just a few hours a day and there is lots to explore in Puyo and Banos. You can get the bus from outside Martha’s house. Martha’s garden is beautiful and you will enjoy if you like being outdoors :)
