Natural hideaway Taor

Our property is located in untouched nature in the Dinaric Alps. As great lovers of nature and healthy living, we decided to make a house from ecological materials, to engage in permaculture and fight for the preservation of nature and the environment. This year I graduated as a Qi Gong teacher and of course all our guests have the opportunity to learn something about this wonderful method.
So by volunteering here you will be seing the nature very closely and also you will get to know about Serbian Language too.
Also this place is very close to Mokra Gora which is famous for Sargan Eight Train Ride.

Looking for Dedicated Volunteers for Long-Term Farm Work! We are a family-run horse farm located in the beautiful mountains of Serbia, and we are looking for skilled, hardworking volunteers who are ready to commit to a long-term stay (1-3 months or more) to help with building projects, farming, and caring for our horses. What we need: Building skills: Help with carpentry, repairs, and maintenance of farm structures. Horse care knowledge: Experience with feeding, grooming, riding, and maintaining tack. Farming experience: Help with planting, harvesting, and tending to animals. Chainsaw skills: Assist with clearing trails, cutting firewood, and maintaining the land. What you’ll get: Accommodations: Comfortable living space provided (shared house or room). Meals: Homemade Serbian meals, fresh farm produce, and, of course, Rakija to enjoy with your team! Cultural Immersion: Experience authentic mountain life, learn local traditions, and connect with the community. Opportunity to ride: Enjoy the beautiful mountain trails on horseback during your free time. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is not only looking to learn new skills but also wants to be part of a hardworking team, contribute to ongoing projects, and live a simpler, more fulfilling life in the mountains. We prefer long-term volunteers who are ready to commit to at least 1 month, and ideally longer. If you’re someone who enjoys physical work, is passionate about horses and nature, and wants to be part of something bigger, we’d love to hear from you!

I instantly fell in love with the place. The other volunteers are like friends I reunited with after a while of absence.
The work is hard and yet rewarding. The views are spectacular and the abundance of blackberries is second to none. I enjoyed the Qi Gong at the crack of dawn.
There have been some communication issues, which we’ve managed to sort out, so I’m looking forward to the improvements to be made and I’d love to revisit this place next summer.
All the best – grow and develop!

Do not underestimate this work experience, if you are not ready to work hard almost all the time, this place will eat you alive.

Pros:
- You can take on a large variety of projects and there is opportunity to explore your own style.
- Days off are respected if clearly outlined.

Cons:
- Unless you can manage to leave the farm, there's no real days off
- This place is poorly managed by the owners, shortcuts are common and plans are often not thoroughly thought through.

I had a lot of fun for my own reasons but I can see that this is not for everyone one.
