I do feel that it is a beautiful place, and the experience can be really valuable. We were sad to leave sooner than planned, but more really does need to be done for security.
There are honestly a lot of pros and cons of this experience, but for me overall, if me and my partner were able to feel safe, we would have stayed.
I would advise checking google reviews as well as the worldpackers ones to make an informed decision, as they were drastically different.

I stayed there for one week and when I arrived, I felt not so welcomed but lucky I was not alone as a Volunteering there.
My room was nice, but it was mold everywhere and I couldn't lock the doors and the toilet was a Thai toilet so nothing to sit on, so I was not prepared for it. The hygienic was really bad so they didn't wash their hands or sometimes the food before they prepared the food and sometimes the food was good, but sometimes was not that good.

Mindful farm is a very special place, absolutely beautiful and Pinan has a heart of gold! gonna miss him the most I think, what a great experience. the work was fair and mostly fun very relaxed and peaceful. I would love to come back one day hopefully when there's more volunteers. Overall great experience. Thank you Pinan!!

Mindful farm was a great place to learn about sustainable farming methods and Pi Nan was a great teacher. He was very flexible with the amount of volunteering required and so we were able to work as and when we wished to.
I would recommend this experience to people travelling as a group more so than solo travellers, due to some safety concerns encountered during our stay and after reading some of the Google reviews, which led us to leave earlier than planned.

Pi Nan was very understanding and flexible with the workload — you only work when you feel like it. It’s a great place to slow down, enjoy nature, and take a break from the city.

My main concern was safety: some doors didn’t lock and a few windows didn’t have curtains. One night me and the other volunteers heard footsteps around the rooms and didn’t feel safe, so we decided to leave early. Pi Nan was still very kind and helped arrange a ride back to Chiang Mai.

It’s a lovely place with a lot of potential, but adding proper locks and curtains would help volunteers feel much safer at night.
