Mezijeleny

we are located near the forest and we are the only family living in this village, all others are weekend houses and summer houses
Our house is build in 1896, and it was German Villa, , After the second world war the whole area was restricted and destroyed all houses but this house was kept for soldiers and ministers guest house till 1997, this village was having 150 houses with German inhabitants after the war they moved everyone and kept only 5 houses left in the village.

we are 4 people now, me, my wife and our 11 years and 9 years old daughters, sometimes I call them wild animals :) and we have a cats outside the house, chickens, budgies, race and fancy Pigeons and 4 Alpacas and 5 horses (Irish cob).
We take 1 or 2 volunteers at one time.

we are not looking for just workers. we all need friendly and happy people around us. Helping on reconstruction is 5 hours a day and 5 days a week. Besides that, we can all together prepare food (breakfast, lunch, dinner), clean the dishes, play with children. Average timings of the food is 9am breakfast, 1pm lunch and 7 pm dinner. living in nature is not about only working . sometimes there will be more work sometimes only fun. but most of the time its mixed. we need people really self motivated to learn and willing to try new things. Some evenings we can play games, music, apply henna, bring wood from the forest and prepare fire, have interesting talks etc. Day off is the day we all can be cooking together and going out for picnic, and enjoy the day. In the day off we all have to cook and helping in cleaning the dishes. If you need something don't hesitate to ask Alice or Anbu. we need to have video chat before we confirm our volunteers. thanks for understanding, looking forward for great people.

Alice, Anbu thank you for everything, I really enjoyed this experience, the place is beautiful, the food is good and the people are really welcoming. The work sometimes was hard but it depends also of how you handle things and organize yourself, the camp was also really nice and enjoyed all of it!
Would recommend if you're looking for nature, walks and horses!

I had a really good time with Alice and Anbu🫶🏼their family is very warm and welcoming, they have two girls who are so lovely and smart who always treated me as a family member. The place is amazing, the forest is so beautiful that you feel in a fairly tale🙌there are some really cool spots to explore 🏔️🏃🏻‍♀️Regarding the work, it depends on some factors like weather, Anbu’s health or what is necessary to do in the moment, but overall it is not a demanding work, they are flexible with the working hours👌🏼

This was a truly incredible experience. I am so grateful for the warmth and kindness this family showed me. Everything was perfect for me. I was treated with respect, so I was motivated to help them with helping with the animals, assisting in the kitchen or preparing rooms for the guests.

I really recommend volunteering with this family if you would like an opportunity to reconnect with nature, meet locals and spend time with the lovely family. They really treated me well and were very considerate. I could tell they really wanted me to enjoy my stay and went above and beyond to welcome me.

This was my first volunteering experience and i am very grateful for it! I felt welcomed like a part of the family and i had a lot of fun. The work was hard on one hand but even if it was, i was always able to enjoy it. The food was delicious and in my free time i spent a lot of time with the family. There is no nice city near by but it never bothered me because i used my time there a bit like a society detox and the closeness to the nature and to the family helped a lot. I also liked to be close to the guests and to talk to them. I am very happy for this to have been my first stay:)

My stay at Mezijeleny was for me like a therapy. I had the opportunity to spend a lot of time in the nature and with animals. The work was not too hard - mostly I helped with the walks with the animals which were the best part of my stay or I cleaned the shits of the animals(really calming;)). It is the perfect place for everyone who wants to calm down and enjoys going for walks.
Everyone was friendly and two times I joined the indian cooking nights with the guests. I was able to try out new things and learn about the history of the village. Furthermore, the dinner was always a 10/10 ;)
