This place is safe for solo women travelers. It's a beautiful and peaceful stay and it was well maintained. The stay was very calm and surrounded by tea estates. Sangalp Ji has a positive aura and is fun to be around. He has great knowledge about the history of Assam and I learnt a lot about the Assamese culture. He guided me for local sightseeing in Sivasagar and also helped me with my next travel plan. Even though he was busy with other things, he still made sure Iam doing good.
I had a pleasant stay at Sivasagar. Thank you Sangalp Ji.
I highly recommend this place for solo women travelers.

Staying at Sereni Tea Chaya was the best part of my time in India. Surrounding with the tea gardens, the area is super safe and peaceful spot, especially for solo female travelers. I had cozy private room in lovely house, and the host family made me feel right at home with healthy, homemade meals every day. Dada (my Assamese brother) and Didi are such kind, warm people, and their adorable kids made it even better. Dada’s vision for improving tourism in the area is so inspiring. This place is all about nature, connection, and experiencing real Assam life I’m so grateful for the experience.

My experience here was full of learning, laughs and amazing food.
I met some amazing people and learnt a lot about the history of the town, the culture among the tea fields and the Diwali festival.
It is a very safe environment for any traveler, male and female.
A very cosy house and I was made welcomed and comfortable everyday.
Taking me fishing, bike rides around the tea fields and helping in the restaurant.
Please consider this place for your next volunteer adventure!
