Menikmati pagi hari dengan suasana tepi rel kereta api, membuat sambel pecel yang menjadi kuliner khas Kota Madiun. Merasakan rasa kekeluargaan masyarakat dengan mengikuti kegiatan di tetangga.

Immediately upon arrival, they welcomed me with such open arms as one of their own, and adopted me into their family. Throughout the two weeks I spent with them, they treated me so well; I was able to learn about batik, martial arts, traditional music, puppetry, Javanese culture, attend a traditional wedding, try new foods, and really immerse myself in a new culture. Seeing how committed each person was to promoting Indonesian culture was very inspiring to me, and I am walking away with a newfound appreciation for Indonesia. I’m so sad to leave part of my heart here, but am beyond grateful ❤️

Truly exceptional experience. I had such a wonderful time volunteering in this program that it exceeded all of my expectations. From the moment I arrived till I said goodbye, every single person was so kind and supportive, they treated me like their family and made me feel appreciated and respected at all times. Along with learning batik from the masters and enjoying local lifestyle, I also tried martial arts and music classes that was a plus plus point. All of them will always have a special place in my heart. Best wishes for my Madiun family ❤️

My journey in Madiun was unforgettable.
I met amazing humain beings who are now a part of my family.
More than learning Batik, I also learned about the community, and I've been able to discover Martial Art, Yoga and so many other things. I met many wonderful locals, and there is no word to describe how welcoming are these people, and I can't wait to see them again.
My volunteering will remain the best memory of my Indonesian trip.

I'm leaving Indonesia with a full heart and the feeling that I left a piece of myself in Madiun. I felt like a celebrity, warmly welcomed and treated like part of the family, especially by Mr. Agus’s family. The radio experience was amazing, where I got to talk about Javanese culture, share my experience as a tourist, and talk about Mexico, a very meaningful moment that made me feel truly seen and appreciated. I highly recommend this volunteer experience to anyone looking to connect with a real authentic culture, feel part of a genuine community, and awaken their creative spirit.

I had a very unique experience in Madiun. I came for learning about a traditional textile, Batik. Besides that, I could meet many local people in the community and share a lot of fun moments with them, such as playing traditional music, a traditional showcase, visiting a local school, cooking, and more. They accepted me as a part of the family since I arrived at the station, even after I left. I’m really happy with that and I already miss them. Thank you so much, my host family Ms Lillik & Mus Dwi, and everyone for giving me this opportunity. This experience brings much prosperity to me.
