It’s a lovely family style small hostel. The tasks and hours are really fair, and the manager Matt is a great boss, well-structured, aware, and letting everything clear for you. Also I love the neighborhood Brunswick where the hostel is on. And the vibes of the place and the people are super sweet. Highly recommended if you care about doing a good job, learning things, and giving a good and positive energy into an odd place :)

Renzo, thank you so much for your kind words, it means a lot to us.

You were an awesome member of the team from day one. You brought great vibes, genuine positivity, and a real willingness to learn. Your attention to detail and the pride you took in your tasks made a huge difference to the daily operations of the hostel and, most importantly, to the experience our guests had while staying with us.

We always appreciate crew who show up with good energy and a solid work ethic, and you did

I will be forever grateful to Matt, a manager with a big heart and so much humanity. My two months at LP will remain forever engraved in my memory. More than just a hostel, it’s a real family, a true place of sharing. Thank you, Matt, for being such a golden person, always listening, a model of perseverance. A thousand thanks. To all future volunteers: go there with your eyes closed, a family is waiting for you. Plus, it’s perfectly located, the neighborhood is amazing!
I’ll definitely come back as a guest from time to time to stay in touch with Matt and the LP team.
Thank you so much 🙏🏻

I had a great time at Landing Pads! The work is reasonable, the hostel clean and the people there very welcoming. The neighbourhood (Brunswick) is also very nice, with everything you need in walking distance (cafe, groceries, thrift shops, etc.)
The four weeks I stayed there went really quickly :)

My stay at Landing Pads has been so much fun!
It's a great place if you want a quieter, smaller hostel with a diverse mix of lovely people.
As a live-in volunteer, I was provided with a private room with bunk beds, which I shared with one other volunteer. The shifts are flexible, as most volunteers here have another job that they need to coordinate with. Tasks were as expected and included cleaning, housekeeping, and reception work.
All in all, a lovely little place in Melbourne, perfect for anyone looking to get out of the CBD, make meaningful connections, and save a little on rent!
